don't think the guy knows i have got 15" wheels on my car not 17"
hmm, like you said R1CHO " Random "

Adz 15th December 2008 21:37

how much bhp do you lot think this would give out? as said as title, 708 cam, re-map, straight though system and induction kit ?

Just some rough ideas :)

Adz

Predator_R32 15th December 2008 21:41

well there 75bhp as standard

do a good service on it and i think it should show about 70bhp

cams, exhaust, filter and a remap

id say its good for 100 bhp maybe a bit more

joshwhite 15th December 2008 21:43

hmm 100bhp seems very low hardly worth it...i would like to see more bhp then that

100+ like pred just said after remap :S

joshwhite 15th December 2008 21:45

mine was serviced and only has a decat and iducation mine was dyno'd at 74.6bhp :y: i was pleased...

Predator_R32 15th December 2008 21:47

with just the usual breathing mods id say about 75 - 80

wicked, what about some throttle bodies as well :P

benkelsall 15th December 2008 21:49

Can you even get 708s for a 1.4 engine?

i don't know haha, im just asking to see what it would be like, or some other good cam then :)

any suggestions?

joshwhite 15th December 2008 21:52

you can get cams not sure about the 708's also my 1999 westie has only done 47k miles so engines not to worn..

Predator_R32 15th December 2008 21:52

with throttle bodies it depends what cams you use, some wild cams and some forged conrods and pistons (even a crankshaft if moneys good), but it wont be much more, might be up there with a standard vts engine

all depends what you have uprated tbh

youd be much better starting with a vts lump, and a lot of people say they wish they had gone the forced induction route

still cant beat the sound of throttle bodies though :y:

VTEC-Saxo 15th December 2008 21:52

dont meen to sound stupid here but power gain wise, wouldnt it be cheaper to put a R or S lump in and then spend money on cams and shit ?

VTEC-Saxo 15th December 2008 21:53

damn pred got there first :P

benkelsall 15th December 2008 21:55

Piper 270 & 285, Newmans PH1 & PH3, CatCams 101 & 113 and Kent PT11, PT30 & PT40. There some cams that would fit a 1.4 engine. Some would need a re-map and other work needed.

ok wicked thanks for that, hmm yh like pred said might as well put a vts engine init with throttle bodies and cams then :), but we will have to see what the money is like after christmas.

VTEC-Sax0: Stop Spamming my thread god dam you

benkelsall 15th December 2008 22:04

Tbh theres not point camming and getting a re-map on a 1.4. Cams about £250 and re-map about £450, plus any other work that might be needed. If you are wanting to fit cams, then get a mild cam like.. Piper 270, Newman PH1.. With those cams you wouldnt need a re-map.

VTEC-Saxo 15th December 2008 22:06

how am i spamming your thread, you wantd answers, not posting crap am i ?
