Anyone who knows their wheels and their brakes should see this should never have happened...

Oh haiii VTS brakes on a 3 stud :)

Fo' all the 3 stud ha'ers y0!

Lippy 3rd September 2009 10:32

fair effort on the big 3 stud brakes but could have just done a 4 stud conversion?

Yes, but that would have been boring :p

I guess there's a sleeper factor in there somewhere.

AlexB 3rd September 2009 11:28

That's actually quite wrong as the hub diametersand everything differ
do I spy a small spacer ring to correct it
fair play tbh

Mikol 3rd September 2009 11:39

Yes yes you do.

As bodged as a redrilled brake disc sounds a lot of thought/work has gone into it. Although I can't take 100% credit - I bought the disc + spacer pre-manufactured off a lad on the AX forum, but assembled and fitted the rest of the parts myself.

The whole thing is on AX front struts as standard 106/Saxo 3 stud struts have different mountings for their ATE calipers that aren't compatible with VTS/Bendix caliper bolt spacings. :)

in all fairness that is a decent idea , with too much flex wouldnt the paint crack though?

Lippy 3rd September 2009 23:50

cones are pretty rigid on those pioneer subs so should be okay tbh!
pioneer writing needs painting black though

Lancek 4th September 2009 02:29

agreed ^

would look good with the black writing

:lippy you need to hurry up and get some updates in this thread :)
