You are a thick cunt, do you not realise what open ecu and open loom means. Nothing to stop him fitting a omex and custom loom he then has a instant advantage when it comes to power over you. As it stands my vtr is actually better set up with more power than your vtr for this race series.

manic 18th June 2013 20:53

Dave if your gonna quote stuff get it right 127.9bhp

manic 18th June 2013 20:56

Omex 500 mk3 bottom end. mk1 top end . oil cooler . . bill has looked at my car so had trevor. and many scrutineers. so keep trying

Well he was banned for "his own good" last year, given some advice from a few mods (myself included) and sent on his way.

He's unfortunately come back (no problem there) with the same mentality (there's the problem).

I was hoping that a bit of saxp "encouragement" would show him how to interact on a forum but alas, it seems to have failed.

Imagine for example if he'd gone on Rallye Register or (shudder) "track scotland"... He got off lightly on saxp tbh ;)

It was fun whalst it lasted lol

Why is this so difficult? Highflowheads have the rules right? Have you told them to build a race legal engine and specified the work that is and is not allowed?
Its not a case of reading the text. They supply pictures too. Its like a simple game of snap.

The allowed head is radically different. Yours isn't allowed...

I'm not a fan of the willy waving and insults but Ross is spot on. If you build the engine with this head then someone with more knowledge than you will notice at the trackside and you will get pulled up disqualified. You can get points on your race licence, fines, banned from racing etc etc. Ignorance is not a crime but its not a defence either. You are paying a company to make you an engine. Make sure they have a full understanding of what is required. They obviously are not clear at the moment. Its at the stage you can fix it without difficulty.

Right a black top and an early silver top 90bhp have the 00-00 inlet port lay ouy. what does the later 98bhp have

manic

KamRacing 19th June 2013 10:56

Also its a roller rocker head and cam. They dont even have to take the head off, just the cam covers...

Right so a zo2 (roller rocker silvertop) looks the same to the zo7 ( late silver top 98bhp) but its the inlet spacing thats different . i see now .

Yes. So the port spacing is the first giveaway - just a simple glance under the bonnet should pick that up. Don't even need to pick up a spanner...

As Kev has said - for David NOW is the time to change the configuration. Although highflowheads have rebuilt the engine, it's simply a matter of finding another head, cleaning it up, a new gasket and other consumable parts, and it's resolved. :)
