My temp guage was doing the whole flicking all over the show thing...
Then it was fine and did it again today... took the dials out, cleaned it all up and it was fine again!
Haven't done the blue conversion yet, tempted though!
Wouldn't mind leaving all of the lights the same, apart from the dials and LCD Display...
Can i do it so that the petrol guage lights up blue, but the petrol light still comes on orange?
I have a tendancy to forget its on if it blends in!

Predator_R32 29th April 2007 20:40

yes mate as theres one led for the actual gauge and one for the warning light :y:

DavidKent 29th April 2007 20:46

Thats alright then...
Might get on with it when i can be arsed... and have some money!
Spray work comes first at the moment though, get the exterior back up to scratch(less) after my little bump a while back...

baronvontinkle 2nd May 2007 17:22

Before i buy them. Do we think white will look anygood?

Steve. 2nd May 2007 20:00

right i am going to order my LEDs how many do you think i should order? 30? to do the whole instrument panel? i have some normal blue ones to do switches etc...

Steve - what do i need to do my heater control bit??

TU-Tuning 12th May 2007 15:15

Just ried to do the dials, fooking impossible. Prob cus ive got such shaky hands, but i couldnt get the things to go on, theres too little solder. I tried 3 and ran out of time, got work now. One of em works, the other two dont including one behind the clock/milegage display, which has caused the green one next to it to stop working too. So im guessing i either put the positive notch the wrong end or i didnt solder it right. Its gonna take me hours i reckon.

DavidKent 12th May 2007 16:22

unlucky mate, keep trying, should be worth it in the end!
Do it inside on a rainy night or somethin, keep urself doin it lol..

time_to_ride 12th May 2007 18:18

Rite, Im goin 4 it. Im ordering some 2nite. And il do it in a few weeks when my exams have finished.

Oh, n what is the "(56K NO NO)" all about whats it mean?

saxooxas 12th May 2007 18:24

means theres a lot of pictures and for people on dial up its a no go cause itll fuck your computer over. apparantly..

Steve. 12th May 2007 18:36

right well after first fuck ups like rounded off air bag bolts its all apart now, gonna have some dinner then crack on with the soldering! really hope it works!!!

Is it just me or was there alot to dismantle? like airbag, steering wheel, airbag rotating thingy, switched plate, etc... etc...

yeah u will have mistakenly put the positive around the wrong way. when u say there is too little solder u need to get some soldering wire u cant use the old stuff thats there coz it wont get a good hold

Predator_R32 12th May 2007 19:21

the cut off in the corner is the positvie aint it steve??

what i did is make a not which way the led was before i took it off :y:
