Which Exhaust!!???
Definately looking at a Piper backbox for looks and sounds but its between these at the moment... 3 or 3.5" Inwardly/Outwardly rolled???? :err: Im liking the 3.5" OR option... ![]() http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod_id=9516 Or the inwardly-rolled?... ![]() http://www.2modified.com/inch-inward...acturers_id=86 What would you go for people? Thought and opinions really, really welcome! :y: |
Much prefer the outrolled one, you could always get the supersprint !
|
In rolled dude! Oh and i've done a chop for ya ;)
![]() |
Can you see what i've done ;)
|
outward rolled = slag look
|
3" Inward for me... ;)
|
outward ftw. only wish you could get a 2.5" though as that would look spot on
|
Ive been looking round the site, I think were the only 2 on the site with a gunmetal sax!

I looked at those and the OMP race backboxes but want a slightly larger pipe to fill the space but not too big if you get what i mean. Quote:

Very Euro style and im liking it but we'll see once they've been meshed first and the widemouth with Mocal in place is sorted ;) Quote:
I really liked that look at first but im now leaning towards the 3.5" inwardly rolled because it looks a little bit better and will fill the bumper space but not be as big as say a 4" jap gash cut box. Quote:
I can get one made up but im not sure the size would suit plus it may sound like a bit of a wet fart :P Not as bad as the full pugsports i guess. Quote:
Both Mk's i think aswell :err:... Im going for looks and performance to make mine one of a kind  |
Thanks for all the comments guys!
I think we may have a winner... The Piper 3.5" inwardly rolled is really catching my eye at the moment and i picked up a new rear bumper from Mj1 (Mike) last week so when its here i'll fit it straight on then get some pictures and vids of the system in action :y: Those of you at FCS will also see and hear it on track ;) Got a little video yesterday and some more pics so will post those up shortly! |
What size are the OMP tailpipes, goT to be the slag look !
|
i reckon the piper 3 inch outwardly rolled from kam looks ace, sounds nice too mate.

I want the same make but the 3.5" option. Should look sex when everythings fitted next week then i can get some more pics and vids. The picture above also hasnt got the 'Piper' logo on it so the backbox i get will be stainless steel with that on and a liiiitle bit larger :) |
Id go for 2inch defo, looks sweet
|
should be good then mate :y: get buying LOL
|
definitely inward mate!
|

Taking a pictures at 40mph tut tut lol!

That exhaust is tragic lol
You do know those harnesses are dangerous mounted like that? I have nothing positive to add :P Hurry up and get it slagged for some summer track action :D |

Its been on there since i got here but hasnt been changed like the rest of the system yet due to more important things, just polished the scrap can up. The harnesses feel better than just being mounted straight tbh. They are so tightly adjusted for the driver's side they couldn't slip and do any harm anyways lol. Apart from the rubbish in the back in those pics and 2 GTI leather seats shes ready for action :y: Buckets need to be picked up and the leather dropped off so expect an update on the interior soon ;) |
cant wait till our little expedition!!
looking immense and sounds lovely! |
Quote:
I cant wait...will be really good especially if the plans we have happen for the day ;) Lol saxo Polizei :P Will look and sound much better by then btw :) |
Video's are too short dude and where did you learnt to pull away... shocking lol!
Jokes dude! |
I think you should sell me your wheels red :p
That's nowhere near stripped though. I still see ice. Rip it out! |
Quote:
Ideas Mr180? It has a dash, some wiring behind that, Head Unit and Alpine front comps with small hidden amp...Couldn't live without them in the car so they are staying lol  If i had my way id have a second car as a track toy which would be stripped of everything, true slag style: 1 seat Few wires and digi-dash in place of the old plastic lump Some sort of shell around the wheels which id call a chassis A spec'd engine And fook all else tbh. :P Thats getting me thinking now actually! More proper videos in the next few days as those were pretty pants ;) |
cant be arsed reading thru it all, whats the spec of it or is it just standard engine wise?
|
dont you dare take the HU out! lol
will be in for a boring ride if you do :( and will i need ear defenders if its going to be stripped. lol will be loud as foock! |
Quote:
Already stripped apart from the dash and 2 seats which i cant be arsed with lol. Loud enough but not too loud which i like. Some of the engine bay has also been stripped along with the firewall, spare wheels, undercarrige and other random brackets and pieces that aren't needed. Seriously thinking about getting the sunroof welded over as i hardly use it anyways and its more weight/one less thing to go wrong and break on a saxo :P Yates - If you read some of it dude i've done the basics like: Induction kit and oil breather Head gasket * Straight through system SS 4-2-1 manifold fully heat-wrapped SS centre section from Kam Head gasket New alternator Belts and a full service (Silkolene Fully synthetic oils and better oil filter) Uprated fuel filter Loads more to come but i've mainly been focusing on suspension and brakes for the next few months antics. Sparco upper brace OMP lower brace (adonised red) Goodridge lines Brake system fully bled with 5.1 Motul pro fluid Bias and pedal adjusted Mintex M1155 pads that need fitting X-Sport racing gear linkages Griffiths and Compbrake quickshifts that also need fitting New track rods Wheel bearings Uprated droplinks Plus a few other goodies like the new tyres i've found, finishing touches to the zorst and induction systems. Interior needs some attention next week with my new buckets and frames to go in and harnesses adjusted then i will give the whole underside a clean up with some fresh lick of hammerite and a good detail :y: |
Quote:
haha tragic :homme: Ghey video tbh. Just wanted to hear the sound of the system on a video :) |
~ what backbox are you rocking on the car now?
|
Quote:
Came on the car when i got it last year but i've replaced the whole system and sorted other stuff out as its bad i know but a new BB wasnt really essential so gave it a clean and polish and left it on for the moment, just looks and sounds a bit gash with the induction kit haha. Piper backbox should arrive very soon!!! Also getting a Green Forced induction kit on order from Kam this week to go with and finish things off Karl :y: |
Its coming along matey! But times running out for FCS!!! :p
Ive already started the prep crap. You love it but hate it at the same dang time eh, |
Quote:
What prep are you doing rushy bud, any more engine work been sorted yet? |
Update in the works as we speak!
Nothing major just tidying up really. |
Looking very nice mate.
