cheers for the comments,

right after thinking long and hard about a vts conversion and decided its going to be a no go. i had a long convo wit me dad after talking about it ne we decided its not the rought for me.

i have been thinking for ages about somethin unique for my car as i want it to stand out from the rest (strange saying that as it is mango lol)

so i am going to turbo :) my 1.4 furio engine and before anyone says save money and put avts in instead NO i want to be DIFFERENT. not many furios have been turbo'd so i want to be one of the few that jump in at the deep end.

it wont actually be a turbo until this time next year most prob as i wont be able to by parts till after xmass due to going to america for 3 weeks in november so my money this year is all taken up realy. so will slowly buy bits after.

im not 100% sure what parts i am going to buy yet but think i will start with basic turbo conversion to start with. so if anyone who has turbo'd or turboing there saxo etc would love you to pm me n give me a bit of advice.

Liam-westcoast 24th June 2009 19:34

this should be great mate and very different i was going to get bike bodies for my westcoast lol and that might still happen but hope you do this

don't listed anyone saying vts it and everything and save your money as it is your car

exactly, would much rather do the turbo than a vts conversion feels as if you get more out of it if you get what i mean. more rewarding.

Sneakydevil89 25th June 2009 17:06

well any kind of engine conversion is rewarding i think, but defiantely try something new and exciting!

yep i cant wait to start buying things. but i need to do a bit of research into the parts i am going to need for a semi basic turbo conversion

Lippy 25th June 2009 22:25

sounds like its gonna be an awsome car when done! long way off but good plans none the less!

I still havent done much research into turbo/s, superchargers and throttle bodies yet, maybe il just ask you as you are researching sooner lol

E3D 26th June 2009 17:21

Mark1 26th June 2009 18:59

Looking good there :D

Mark.

Saxoo_VT_Whatt 26th June 2009 20:28

Looking Really Good :)

TU-Tuning 26th June 2009 20:36

Looks great mate, fair play. Sounds good on the turbo front too. Gotta ask though have you properly researched it? Its a massive strain on the drivetrain, youll pop gearboxes shafts and clutches in no time.

Not a massively difficult job in terms of labour though, just need to get decent components made which fit properly and perform as they should and youll be fine. Ill deffo keep an eye on this

TU-Tuning 27th June 2009 01:10

i have been reading alot the past couple weeks about doing the turbo but there is one thing that is REALY STARTING to put me doing it is that they dont last very long before having to pump more mony into them for re-build. i spoke to my machanic on friday and he has also said to me that IF i am going to do it that it aint gonna last long :(:(

Sneakydevil89 27th June 2009 19:13

that sucks a bit, i dont know anything about turbo's, but it seems a bit stupid to do it if it is going to break. tuff break. im ure youll find something unique to do to it :P

ye bit pissed that i didnt read up more about it before posting my 'plans' on here lol.

ive kinda got somethin else planned now :)

Lippy 27th June 2009 21:23

Throttle bodies ftw!

I might as doesnt need another injector or intercooler etc... and they sound f**king sweet as!

You should cam it first and then see what you want to do from there!

ye thats what i am thinking tbh. i will prob go for a vtr aswel just cos of insurance reali but i can always mod the engine :)

think it is going to be bye bye to the mango once i have the money after xmass

Liam-westcoast 1st July 2009 17:00

yeah mate if you want to get a white one go for it, and atleast you are getting another saxo

Lippy 1st July 2009 17:11

I think differently to everyone else tbh, I dont think you should get rid of the Mango Sax!

If you want a faster engine then buy a VTR lump and fit it to the Mango! would be a shame to see it go to be honest and they are quite rare!

You would be one of few people with a VTR mango! dont know anyone off the top of my head with one!

Sorry the mango has grown on me!
