Where else have you had it on the rollers tipsy?

TIPSY 7th May 2010 17:52

motorscope and that place over boldon. well the boldon one it ran 160.5. but not much difference between the 3 dyno's.

andy, how come your injectors have fuel duty has gone up 5% within 4 posts???? my cars running fine and has been for the last few months and mines ''producing that sort of power''

fuel duty is around the 90% 95% sometimes, depends on where it is in my rev range.

and yer i would expect to be on the dyno for a good few dyno doing the job or wouldnt be worth it, as 400 quid r what ever it cost there, it a good few hours labour time.

just stay that no Dyno is 100% true! it cant be as there too many factors on a dyno to do that, only way to get a true reading is too get an engine dyno, bolt to the flywheel directly.

but at 150-160 bhp standard fueling system on a vts will be struggling so, will hold it back aswell, as the injectors will be struggling to get the fuel into the cyl!

just something most people seem to over look, when they start increasing BHP levels.

but the only problem with using a standard ECU system it will be hard to look at all this data without going back the chipwizard.

No offence, but there does seem to be a lot of jealousy

the dude has figures from a reputable company.

yes, they may not be 100% accurate, nobody is saying they are. but no need to throw any toys out of the pram because someones got more power than what it "should" be producing...

end of the day, everyones enjoying their cars. so just go drive them and enjoy them

Car looks good mate !!

I wouldn't worry about figures - aslong as it drives nice and pulls smoothly to the limiter then all's good !!

What's the limiter set at?

Maybe worth thinking about a powerflex rear engine mount? As the engine moved a huge amount off the limiter in the video !

Where you want to go with the car now ?

Thanks mate and thats a really good point about the engine mounts mate Ill have a look into it. Not sure where Ill go from now think I just want to do some finishing touches then Im happy with it so just going to enjoy for a while :y:

The limiter is set at around 7800 pal

Its good to get on the rollers just so you have a rough idea of power and so you can highlight any issues but at the end of the day its how they drive like you say mate.

Cheers for all of the coments Ive not really done much to the car for a while so thought I would give the car a really good clean today as it was so dirty with all of the driving I've been doing recentley. Should have taken a before pic but I forgot lol.

Starting to get used to the power now and Im wanting more, so I need to get saving.

Next plan is to get the wheels done again as they are starting to get chipped but I think I will get them done just before I go to the Nurburgring in September

Anyways hears some pics

stevosvts 18th January 2011 11:34

OK so I've not been hear for ages as I've started to lose interest with the car. But I thought I would make an effort as its MOT time so I've just given the car a full service and Ill be raising the car so its only dropped to 25mm instead of 40mm as my car is a nightmare on the speed bumps especially when I have other people in. So Ill stick some pic's up when its all done.

Hears a pic from the Nurburgring from when we went in the summer
