Chr15 24th February 2010 08:20

isnt that report just a copy/paste job from the mail?

DevilDamo 24th February 2010 09:52

I never met/spoke to Gav and did see his name pop on here quite a lot.

I've come across a thread on 106 OC...

http://www.106owners.co.uk/forums/sh...d.php?t=139515

And they mentioned a thread on the RR, which I can't seem to find, which one would assume the driver (Nathan) was a member on there?

Rest In Peace

leeroybrown 24th February 2010 09:57

Yep he was on RR, and the for sale thread he had has been deleted.

There is also a thread on the Type R owners club and the startlet owners club too

Cant believe some of the comments that people have left on the Daily Mail, actually makes me feel sick.

RIP japman.

laura_g 24th February 2010 11:06

Those disrespectful comments just make you realise what this country is coming too, no one deserves to die, it makes you think if you was to crash would these low life scum help you just because you have a cheap affordable car? i think not! they are the kind of people who you'd see on points of view no doubt.

Viper 24th February 2010 11:07

I can't see the comments any more. I suppose thats probably for the best. I left a fairly civil comment last night, dont want to be tempted to do anything else

RIP GAV

saxowebby 24th February 2010 16:14

some people are right nobheads, bragging about someones death and as for the dailymail, there a joke.

got to be someone close selling stories to the sun paper for money (sick basterds) whoever they are, and asfor getting things wrong, he wanted an evo.

they need to think what it is doing for his dad.

hope the driver gets ass raped or killed himself, for being a complete cock

R.I.P mate, u did nothing wrong. u didnt deserve to go.

D--R--E--W 24th February 2010 16:23

Its not exactly hard for a jurno to find out someones job... doesnt mean someone is selling storied to the paper tbh

There is an ancient chinese saying:

Quote:

"He who causes death by being wreckless will one day become the victim of his wreckless actions"
See also my signature.

I today built a "Cairn" which is a stone memorial to remember people with. It is on the banks of Loch Ness which is a stunning quiet peaceful area.

It isn't anything special, but it was the only way I could think of doing something for him before Friday seeing as I am away from home.

Sorry if it isn't amazing, I sat there for 5 mins tear in eye after i'd finished it.

Damo, you were spot on with your reply on facebook

I like it, and its obviously heartfelt.

Mochachino 24th February 2010 16:52

I feel like goin and knocking on some of them posters on daily mail site. It makes me so angry how he was classed as a boy racer

"when will these boy racers ever learn...stop thinkin it makes you look cool....its not big its not clever...showing off"

Gav was a passenger....becouse he was doing more than the speed limit and that hes male hes obviously a boy racer :S wtf tbh

If the daily mail worded it differently, without all the boy racer jibberish the comments would be completley different, even if they name Gav as a Gentleman, somthing as pathetic as that would change the commenters views.

Pissed off is not the word that im feeling right now.

Bcup 24th February 2010 17:00

R.I.P. Gav

Elliott 24th February 2010 17:41

Re: RIP Gav collier / Japman x

Just thought I would post again after Reading both the daily mail and the sun websites. The daily mail are terrible tbh gav wasn't a boy racer he was a car enthusiast and the bullshite about him buying the dream hothatch for his 21st is bullshite too because he has owned 106's before iirc.

Makes you sick the things they write about people.

The comments that were made on the daily mail website are awful people who don't know gav saying terrible things.

Thoughts go out to his dad and his close friends for Friday.

Rest in piece gavin collier.

saxo_fone 24th February 2010 18:07

Very sadenning, this is how i heard about this forum actually, i saw it in the sun, thought that it sounded cool, but still so young as well, R.I.P.

Mr_X 24th February 2010 18:10

those posts on daily mail are wrong, i do hope his dad received the money if any, from the story!

-Donkei- 24th February 2010 18:19

R.I.P didnt know you but sure you was a good lad tragic accident rest in peace much love to your close friends and family!

danzman1991 24th February 2010 18:23

I just can't get over some of the comments on the daily mail story.

Makes me sick to think I share a country with people like them.

Just completely stunned at the lack of thought that has gone into there posts.

Mcinabout 24th February 2010 19:02

Read the article this morning, gave me a shiver down my spine, even though i didnt know him, he seemed a top lad, R.I.P Gav. Thoughts are with his dad, family and friends.
