Beenie 29th January 2010 20:13

Chip, how have you mounted the left strap for the drivers harness? have you drilled another hole and put a new mounting plate in? or is there somewhere you can mount it already?

CHIP 30th January 2010 08:28

In the back you mean, i take it?

I've mounted them to the top mounts for the rear seatbelts. On the C pillar. Some people reckon it's unsafe but rear seatbelt's get mounted there so it can't be that unsafe.

Also it make's it alot easier for me to get my bike in the back.

Beenie 30th January 2010 08:56

No sorry I was on about the side where the handbrake is?

Ah, sorry mate. Must have mis-read what you put. I've currently got it bolted where the seat is bolted down. But i have been in talks about making a proper strengthened place for it as that's technically the proper and safest way to do it.

CHIP 30th January 2010 15:49

I've realised there aren't any pic's of my car with both seat's yet.

So here we go:

And my car's new mascot :D

Travis the Turtle ;)

Jay_ 30th January 2010 16:42

readie 31st January 2010 00:01

i read somewhere you are not ment to mount the harness's there as its something odd about if you get hit side on that pannel may bend inwards making your harness go slack which is the last thing you want

just thought i would say as i am not expert just didnt want anyone gettin hurt

I read that too, but then if it's that unsafe why are rear seat belt's mounted there? Either way, shall be alright for now.

Cheers dude. Need to get the number plate sorted as i'm having the one off Toyah's (M14 VTR). She's got a private plate already so she has no use for it :)

because seat belt's move when pulled, as theyre on a reel

harnesses are fixed in position with no "give" when you move.

mattperry 2nd February 2010 11:36

likin the dial mate! car even better

Cheers dude, been after some for a while :)

Lad's just txt me though and said that unfotunatley he can't drop them off today so i'm going to pick them up on 13th as i'm only half hour away from him :y:

Not seen them with Saxo handle cut-out's before but i don't mind that as it make's them a little different to the norm.

Yeh definitely looks different - you going to use the plastic covers 'built in' to the standard doorcards to neaten the edge of the handle surround up?

Krys_23 5th February 2010 14:00

Reminds me that i now have second thoughts on selling my mauritius - Kind of.

samueljonburgess 5th February 2010 14:02

Yea, that's the plan dude. Not entirely sure if/how it's going to work but i'll manage :y:

I've bought them second hand mate but they've never been fitted. Streamline Carbon and Spoox Motorsport sell them though :)

CHIP 10th February 2010 23:19

Just ordered a Simota closed induction kit (rather like a BMC). Hopefully that will come next week so i can then get that fitted :)

Also should be picking the doorcard's up this Saturday. If i get time to fit them this weekend i shall post some picture's up :y:

tinytim6666 11th February 2010 00:11

they look really nice :y:
