Went to Donnington park for another track day on Monday

Also before Donny I changed my manifold for a stainless steel piper which had a couple of cracks and dents but Lea is on the case sorting it for me - big thanks mate!

Crack in the weld under florescent paint...



And he got some of his work mates (who weld to aerospace spec) to sort it...





Also cut my dash fans so they fit due to the cage running close behind them...

And on another note it may be worth getting the vtr alternator brackets with the piper manifold so it doesnt melt it

Really well mate, was quicker than the majority of stuff over the whole lap, even though some didn't intend on making it easy at letting me past lol!

Couple of the guys in the porsches said they were watching me and that my car looked quick and really well balanced which was good to hear :)

Things got a bit hairy on well worn r888's in the wet in the afternoon, all good fun though :D

It's the same as the BTB and that was fine buddy :) and yeah definitely put up that video mate, hope you enjoyed your passenger ride, I couldn't hear half the stuff you were saying whilst in the car lol

That does look proper tidy Josh I will say - veeeeeeery nice! My only criticism would be that you should buy some proper roll cage padding and fix it on using cable ties as it looks a lot neater thatn tape, otherwise perfect! :)

As above interior looks ace, defo my favourite bit.

Lewis - it is proper cage padding, just the slim version as the A pillars, the bar that goes across the top of the window screen and the bar that goes across the roof on the B pillar loop are all very close to the bodywork so the thicker stuff wouldn't fit. Also I disagree about zip ties looking better, but everyone has there own opinions and that's cool mate I'm always happy to hear other peoples opinions on how to improve it :)

My BTB manifold had seen better days so I replaced it with a stainless 4-1 piper, Lea kindly welded a crack on it (pics on last page), dad then wrapped it for me and sprayed it with black high temp paint as that worked well on sealing the BTB





Also painted my cam covers in 2 pack mango

agree with you josh, tape looks better than cable ties... you dont have that bulky thing on there then..and you dont have to wrap it too tight.

Although after a quick run out I think the clutch is going.... I'll still do the 3 hour session although I wouldn't be suprised if it breaks while out on track and just get it towed home lol

It died this morning hence not being @ fcs, was really looking forward to it as well, convoy & being on the PFC stand would have been good, at least I still got to abuse sam's xsi on track for a few hours, was funny killing a few clio cups and keeping up with a couple of megane R26's in a 1.4 lol

I know mate it's annoying, to be far mine has done over 10 track days & 4 ring trips and lasted 5 years so i can't really complain :)

Seeing as my car didn't make it today I guess I can put these pics up...
