CHIP 20th November 2011 18:16

Thought i'd whack some new pictures up. Couple of week back i had a lass reverse into me. Scuffed the front bumper so i got a front end respray out of it :) Killed me not having it for a week! Lol...

What size tyres are you running fella 195's?
As i had my RB as low as yours and the tyres did nothing but rub so had to raise it till i get new tyres. Im running standard 205's.

And cars looking spot on now with the 3/4 front plate.

harry289 21st November 2011 21:40

Looking good as ever! Wish i could afford to run one.

Aaron 21st November 2011 21:53

harry289 21st November 2011 22:12

Iv never had first hand experience. If they are 40mpg cars then maybe treat myself to a 172 cup next summer.

They are good on fuel i get 32-45mpg out of my 182 cup.

CHIP 22nd November 2011 15:32

LOL at being good on fuel, they aren't awful but 40mpg?? On a long run being steady yea. I get 27mpg around town.

I'm running 195's and thanks for the compliments people.

harry289 22nd November 2011 15:50

Got my hopes up for getting one then :( lol. Does look rather sexy though. Sitting just right.

Cheers dude. It's awesome! Looks brilliant. The lass' fella who paid for the damage wasn't very happy about the price but the quality of the work shows why it costs that bit more tbh. The only place I'd trust to paint it as they did my Dad's concours mk1 escort rs2000 and that was awesome :)

LEE_VTR1 23rd November 2011 19:35

hey clio sport friend!!!

I'm getting 33mpg regularly out of my 172 round town.

have seen 45mpg out of it on the motorway but that didn't last long.

lol

CHIP 24th November 2011 12:23

I drive nice and steady, how you getting 33?! Lol.

Enjoying yours still dude? Have you got a thread for it dude, not seen one yet.

i get 32 round town in a 182 :D lol i just been driving it like a granddad

CHIP 24th November 2011 23:33

I'll admit, I managed 29mpg today. Perhaps my decat? Unless everyone else's is decatted lol.

I'm not too fussed either way.

readie 25th November 2011 11:12

No mine is not decatted this seems like the RS corner of Saxp lol

Gandi699 25th November 2011 11:31

Mine gets 28/29 around town or near enough. 38 on a run on the motorway at steady speeds. The F4R engine doesnt appear to like sitting in traffic too much. Has anyone else found if you reset the trip, do a good long run then go back to town driving it'll sit at 32-34mpg for a long time? However do a trip reset without doing a long run, just town driving and it sits lower about 28 or so

readie 25th November 2011 15:23

chip what do you think of the KTR coils? i am looking to lower the 182 but dont know as at the moment i am loving driving with nice soft cup suspension instead of lowered!

Try a set of Eibachs sportlines first mate, I found them a great upgrade - stiffer than cup suspension by not crashy and back breaking over bumps. Give a little drop too but nothing outrageous

IMO they're awesome. They're ever so slightly harder than standard but they definitely aren't hard imo.

Tbf, when i first got my 172 i thought the ride was harder than i expected even as standard. I'm guessing the Cup suspension will be harder in standard trim than mine would have been too.

As said, one option is the Sportline's, lot's of people give them very good ratings. I considered them but knew i wouldn't be happy with the drop.
