Looking forward to the day when i get it on the rollers :) Planing to take it to GMC when mapping is needed to be done so im pretty sure they'll squeeze out every bit of power. Did a really good job of Josh's.

Expected arrival day for the Head's return is Tuesday

Bet you cant wait mate, def go to gmc and get the mapping done as you say!

In fact let me know when you go up and i might be tempted to come up again just for the roads and chat to john if he's about :) You'll need a base map off him to get you up there dont forget. And remind me when you install the kms you'll need to wire the display and probe directly from the battery or risk breaking the display / probe (as mine did) and then GMC had to do it! (we didnt know about this untill my car went up there)

Mines not far off being back on the road now mate, came home last night and sorted stuff. In fact i'll update my thread now :A:

Did you even find that RR print out JP? I'm still really interested in seeing what the delivery and torque is like with those bespoke air horns. :y:

Wayne 20th October 2007 12:24

jpsaxo 20th October 2007 21:52

Great Rush :)

My car's nearly road worthy again - next time i'm back home we could arrange something maybe?

LEE_VTR1 20th October 2007 22:21

50 bhp to 150 bhp sounds crazy i went from the nippy 50 to 98bhp and the power difference is insane so im sure that will be completly mind blowing mate.

the carbon coilpack looks amazing mate aswell
cant wait to see your engine bay when this is all sorted.

and as for polishing your rocker covers i can do them at work for you on a dinner break if you like.

i work in aerospace buisness so only the top quality

ill be seeing you tomorrow then at bassetts

willsy 21st October 2007 00:10

Indeed you shall :) Just read your Pm too. All the help is much appreciated. Cant wait until it first goes on the road again after the transplant.

Yates 21st October 2007 00:13

im not impressed, personally i think its a waste of cash the pro comp and coil pack cover, i think ive proved you can make a standard bay look awesome, as has a few others, think it looks best that way, as for pro comp, they make a nice sound, but you have the btb for sound, i think they are way over priced

yea your gunna be impressed with the power im sure of it.
as i said i went from 50bhp to 98bhp and i was shocked.

so im sure 50 to 150 will be amazing.

Toad 21st October 2007 08:53

I just saw pics of Sam Cook's engine bay, that was very nice and tidy. No silly bits and bobs under there. John Smiths... How I like it it! ;)

Toad 21st October 2007 21:53

jpsaxo 22nd October 2007 00:02

When have i ever kept anything particularly standard lol i like ot be a bit different from the norm.

I got the Procomp for £210 which i dont think is particularly over the odds considering its a bigger intake than anything else on the market (Aside from the VTS procomp of course) Ill be widening the gap in the slam panel to make full use of this extra space so its not wasted.

Sound doesnt particularly do anything for me if its there fair enough, but i prefer to have good performance than draw attention to myself/or deafen myself with something loud.

Feeling groggy this morning lol sorry if the above seemed a bit 'flat'

Matt when do you get back from the West? Need to have this finished well before then :)

willsy 22nd October 2007 11:39

Slightly off my topic, but im tempted to get rid of the rear splitter that i have and get a Mk1 spoiler. Thinking itll look better with my slaggish front end...thoughts?

When the engines done i think ill change my interior again too, get some more hardcore buckets rather than the recliners, but still have them trimmed the same to match my rear seats when theyre in-will be out on track days obviously
