Just pop them an e.mail with some info and some picture's. It isn't much really. Nowhere near as good as a proper feature but it's something nice that i can keep :y:

Criag's C2 being the other i take it? Don't know if Ste has had a feature with his GTI yet. Widdo's GTI was in Reader's Rides also but we're talking a while back. Don't know if you ever saw that.

Just been and bought a Pipercross Breather Filter and fitted that ready for my Simota induction kit. Won't put any picture's up until i've fitted the Simota though :)

EDIT: Also Dom has been in a couple of times with track day article's - in his VTR and and GTI i think. Cringle's Moonstone GTI was in too on another track day article.

samueljonburgess 13th February 2010 16:46

Cheers dude. Where did you see it? Lol

Just as a note: Pipercross Breather Filter's are made of cheese!!! Not fitted 3 hours! I just checked it was on tight with only 2 finger's (not even a thumb!) and the hose fell to bits!
The same thing must have happened on Toyah's car when Mark owned it so i will have to do the same repair as i did to her's.

EDIT: Oooh, guessing you mean in PFC lol. Derr!

samueljonburgess 13th February 2010 18:14

bought it just to see your car.... haha you wish :)

CHIP 19th February 2010 20:07

Right folks...
Last night (in the snow) i removed my splitter and fog's. Me and Toyah were looking at Sax180 the night before (now owned by Jaytee) and thinking how nice the front bumper looked. So i've removed said item's to see how i cope with the look lol. If it grows on me enough i'll be widemouthing and meshing :)

Also fitted my new induction kit but now i need to swap all the hoses to match the nice shiney new one's.

Got a lot of work ahead of me for FCS!!

Also, sorry for the car and engine bay being so dirty... Bloody winter weather. A massive clean needed very soon!

saxokid100 19th February 2010 20:12

nice stuff mate, keep up the good work.....

J222JRA 19th February 2010 20:12

Please now spray the lower splitter. Looks good with no fogs.

Lol, when money allows dude.

My main concern now is getting my carbon doorcard's fitted (hopefully this weekend), spraying inside, more silicone hoses to neaten the bay up and a major detailing.

Also i managed to blag a free back axle the other day. Might repair it and fit it or might trade it in with IM Axle's. I shall see.

Pearson 19th February 2010 20:41

:(, i miss the laguna splitter already, made the front end look so mean with the way it sat, am sure with a bit of persuasion i can make you get it back on ;).

syvtr 19th February 2010 22:21

Take it you never seen my saxo then chip without fogs and meshed ???

SaxoIOW 19th February 2010 22:51

The interior plans sound very good, cant beat a bit of carbon fibre :y: Really like the look of the front with no splitter or fogs, looks alot cleaner. Looking foreward to seeing you at fcs:p

Splitter back on and how about meshing the fog lights, would look good, i wouldnt know what to do if i took my laguna splitter off mine, just looks so mean even when it isnt lowered :/..

CHIP 20th February 2010 22:26

Some picture's after a quick wash tonight... (you can tell it was a quick wash! lol)

J222JRA 20th February 2010 22:28

I know dude, i really do know :(

The paintwork's pissing me off tbh. It's got such a good rich colour and the reflection's are beautiful... but all them swirls piss me off :(

beaver28 20th February 2010 23:35

looks much better without the splitter and fogs:y:

but i would say that as i removed mine ;)

CHIP 20th February 2010 23:38

Cheers dude. I'm struggling with it at the minute tbh. So used to seeing the splitter there lol.

I've been assured by many people it looks better though! So i'll just wait abit, sure it will grow on me!

If weather's decent, fitting carbon doorcard's in the morning!

craig180 20th February 2010 23:41

Nics pics man, but f*** me it needs a proper detail. :fcuk:

CHIP 20th February 2010 23:52

I know :(

5AMBO 21st February 2010 17:38

looking good mate. do love the seats! all i can say is a black roof would finish it off a treat

CHIP 21st February 2010 17:42

I've thought about that before tbh dude. But really the inside needs sorting, needs some Spax PSX or Bilstein's and a good detailing before i go doing any stuff like that. Ideally the front and back bumper's and bonnet want painting probably at the end of the year or next year. So might consider something like that then :)

Looks good Chip:) paintwork looks really flat in the picture when the lights hit the paintwork, like i said i'll detail the car for you no problem at all:hug:

The colour isn't actually as flat as it looks in that picture dude. I don't know why it came out like that lol. But it certainly needs your attention!

I'm also saving for an axle at the minute as that's on it's way out, but as soon as that's out the way i shall be contacting you :y:
