Yup yup, saves 17kg's all in over the standard boot with glass, so quite a good weight saving there. Just need a bonnet now... But no one makes them!

I'd hope so, I've managed to get a few track days in before the ring trip this year so sub 9mins should be possible again this year :D

josh have you spoke to ccf about a bonnet? i would think that they would be able to do it a mk1 bonnet skin isnt that complex and they could bond a carbon skin to a fibreglass frame and you have your bonnet then. just an idea man

Were currently in ashford, about half an hour away from Dover. 8am ferry in the morning and we should be lapping on the ring by 4pm :D

The MK2's suit the carbon a lot better than the smoked MK1's imo! Rear end looks mean man, love it!

Awesome man! what a lap, would be nice to have a clear track for a few laps! Be pushing the 8 minutes without those interruptions surely!
What`s the deal with the car anyway? Where is it now? and how do you get it home?

I reckon i could take another 10-15seconds maximum out of that time if i had a few clear laps in a row getting into a good rhythm. Apart from that though, with that power i dont think theres much more to come off the time. Next year ill aim for 8:30 ;)

Yeah i think its fair to say, and everyone that came out with me will agree, that i was pushing the car very hard.... i always knew sub 9mins was achievable with that power so im really happy ive been able to do it, even with a bit of traffic. Ive got a couple of other videos with loads of traffic and some cheeky "round the outside of the corner" overtaking going on lol
