coming on hun!

Gav 12th August 2005 20:09

whats that thing above the manifold cover? dont have them on a saxo vts over here.

BMK 12th August 2005 20:33

hmmm... i'll try to explain it in english...

The latest models of the 16v have them here in europe.
It has to do something with the euro 3 or euro 4 emision demands or something.. i dont know 4 sure...

What it does is when the motor is cold it pumps air into the exhaust system what causes a reaction in the cat so it warms up more quicly and works beter and faster..

DevilDamo 12th August 2005 20:54

hi martijn,

i love the saxo's in that colour and especially with it being a vts makes it that much nicer the colour coding looks trick

it looks like the modifications are coming along very nicely indeed. a very good choice in rear lights too. when are you thinking of getting some smoked front lights? in the uk, the smoked front headlights are about £150, which is about 219 euro's. so i dont think you would be looking at paying anymore than that.

your exhaust sits just nicely and does not look out of place.

your interior is very very nice. its definitely something i have on the agenda. makes the interior look and feel that much nicer.

so, your car is going in to be lowered tomorrow. im sure you will love it. im down 60mm front and back and i dont regret it one bit.

on the first page, you posted pics up of your engine bay. i am so jealous as your bay is so clean and mine is or was terrible. lets compare the two pics...

yours...

mine...

i have cleaned mine since that pic was taken but tomorrow i will be giving the car a proper clean inside and out as well as the engine bay and will therefore take a few more pics.

keep us updated mate

saxx 12th August 2005 20:58

damo - even mines not that dirty!!

DevilDamo 12th August 2005 21:06

ummm i know its bloody shocking. the previous owner was a careful driver, etc... and didnt put many miles on the clock but when i looked under the bonnet, i could not believe it. the induction kit sticks out like a sore thumb.

but its a lot cleaner now and its going to be even cleaner by saturday

saxx 12th August 2005 21:08

some people dont think to clean under there - i only do cos my dad shouts if i dont!

sorry for the hijack!!

nice car - i really wanna colour code mine now

DevilDamo 12th August 2005 21:09

to be honest, i never used to as i have always had brand new cars and have no reason for cleaning them. they were always clean. but as i will be doing a few engine mods here and there, it will be clean. i will not be opening my bonnet in public with the state its in now.

saxx 12th August 2005 21:12

my cars only 2! so virtually new - but its got issues in the engine already which i wanna sort out when i have time to dismantle things!

i wanna chrome it up too - will look pretty then
