not too bad, i dont honsetly think neons/LED in the footwells look too bad if done tastefully with other subtle lighting. nice.

imydaking 12th March 2009 20:15

yeah i chose leds as there less brighter than the neons. also they match the car and they wont break easily or come off :)

Sneakydevil89 12th March 2009 20:27

i know how much of a pain neon tubes can be when they get kicked. broken so easily. good choice, your right they do match colour of the car nicely

imydaking 13th March 2009 19:30

couple more of the lights lol in evening and night

Darlo-paul 13th March 2009 19:57

Footwell neons are good in clean cars, otherwise it just lights up the dirt and the nike air max's innit bruv.

Sneakydevil89 14th March 2009 11:04

the switch is next to the hazard flasher thing you can see it lit up, also there connected so that they can only be turned on when the sidelights/headlights are on.

Its pretty easy if you fit them can help out if needed :)

vt kit maybe if i have a loada cash to burn later on or i buy another car and do the kit myself. Am hoping it looks ok with just the alloysand a few other bits. The vt kit is soo common going to try making a flat arch look good thats the challenge lol especially a 5 door :D

gonna give it a mega whoring session in a week or two can someone recommeend a good polish and wax? ( already got Autoglym SRP and extra gloss) wanting the more wet effect for summer

cheers mate, i think i will be able to do it, its not too complicated. just was interested in how you did yours :)

imydaking 14th March 2009 22:40

the leds will glue on easily on driver side under the steering column and on passenger side just cable ties to tie it to some fusebox wires ;)

imydaking 28th March 2009 23:14

slight update put in some xsara washer jets and whiter bulbs on front (will get pics soon)

also finally got my door pod painted and all fitted onto one door card, working on making another quite happy with how the first one turned out :)

couldnt be botherd to retrim the doorcards its a big headache! just bought some grey ones for the pods look good i think. Shame the speakers don't come with grills

alloys delayed till mid april :( just can't afford to pay out for it now :P

Gave it a clean today as i had a load of time after the F1 (Button FTW!)

not had much time to get pics after the 4 hours of whoring

used the following:

Kent Noodle wash mitt + 2 bucket method
Kent polish applicator pads
Few microfibre cloths
Autoglym SRP + EGP + Bodyshampoo + Fast glass
Turtle wax wet n black
Meguires Mirror glaze #16 wax

The results all done by hand ...

olly_vts 5th April 2009 20:30

nice n tidy motor you've got there bud. I would mesh the front grill and maybe smoke jewel rear lights. I agree - you were rather raped on the insurance lol:wall:
