Looks really good mate bet your well happy with it? looks a nice standard low mielage example.

I got myself a 172 cup 2 weeks ago and there really good cars love mine so far.

Probably a bit far from your location but JMS in west london on Cliosport will do Cambelt kit & Aux belt for around £299 and also I think it's sideways danny has just started his place up called www.519automotive.co.uk near Bedford and is doing the 172 Cup Cambelt & Aux belt kit changes for around £249ish so if your willing to travel its pretty cheap!

only thing it doesn't say on their website is that it doesn't fit using the original cup mounts you need to drill and screw it on :panic:

Silver's the best option i reckon:y: your right anthracite does not really go with your colour clio.

It's not Mackie's anymore. I have repossessed it, and I love it.

And yes, the anthracite looks gorgeous.

Your car looks mintage too mate :)

Cheers dude!

Obviously its IMO but i think silver works sooo well on cups...it just makes them look fresh with a few subtle changes.

The anthracite 'theme' can work on cups with changes to compliment it.

...but whatever they look like, they are GREAT little cars :A:

jimbo06 6th October 2010 10:45

Hi guys i thought i should start a thread for the cup now that bits and peices have started happening to the car. The car is a 2002 mondial cup with 36k on and one previous owner before me , Ive owned it for just over a month now and its safe to say im still in the honeymoon period lol. Theres also some more info and pics of it from my first weekend of having it in here :

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showt...Cup&highlight=

Anyway things have started happening with the car recently, last weekend i had the cambelt & aux belt changed as they were over due, so thats anohter job ticked off the list.

I also made my first purchases which included a cliosport membership , pics anyway:

New RS mats & clear side repeaters (from tom at wests renault...cheers again dude!), some silvertec front indictor bulbs, new wipers and a vanillaroma

Pics fitted:

before silvertec's...

....and after

New mats in

before clear side repeaters...

...and after.

Just some subtle changes atm to 'freshen' the car up, also added my CS tax disk holder and my CS sticker below the brake light in the rear window

I gave the car a quick clean and went to grab some pics:

Mainly just subtle changes to 'freshen' it up which is the look im after for the cup.

Plans for the future are:

- Some clean number plates

- Smaller ariel

- Some new bullets

- Wheels refurbed

- Paint the calipers

- Lower it ( swaying towards just a set of sportlines atm instead of coilovers but we'll see)

She will be getting a full through detail including a machine polish in the very near future aswel

Thanks for looking!

Aly 6th October 2010 12:07

Looks great Jimbo!
You're certainly onto a winner here.

Did a glimpse of the future If you wanted me to. Did some image adjustments in photoshop too, see If you spot them, apart from the obvious ;)

Scott_172 6th October 2010 12:25

As said on C/S very nice mate.

No need for photoshop :P Heres what mine looked like before the wheel refurb dropped on KTR'S
