get ph3s or 708s and you dont need any of the above

when did a full exhaust system cost £600?!?! btb wasnt even that new!

car may not need timing kit or water pump either, depending on when it was last changed.

yeah I know I want to do the timing and water pump as it's bin stood for a while and have no history for the car so best to do everything as I go :y:

Right a bit of progress finally!

Took the front end off the vts on monday to find that someone has cut a chunk out of the slam panel :n: and took the engine out and the loom that had caught alight some how:

Also I found that the previous owner decided to put the rocker covers on with what looks like a bucket full of sump sealer! has gone a bit over board and it was everywhere :n: :

Not a great deal to update waiting on Colin/Sandy for my gsxr throttle bodied set-up before I put the engine all back together, I can also confirm that it does have piper cams! :y: which is a bonus saves me buying some Newman ph3's, also I got myself a cheap set of alloys which im hoping to spray them all white (most of you will say its common and every one does posi-blue and white but I like it so I don't care! :), so here is a few pics of the set of 5 alloys I purchased this morning:

Wow thats a big list of parts for the car lol. Fair doos to ya mate, Think it will really pay off in the end and be sweeet as. Not sure about the rims, but i guess they will look miles different with a lick of paint on em.

_Jon_ 16th January 2011 22:16

yeah they're just some cheap ones to get me by for a while mate they will look alright i hope :y: and thanks :)

Bit more progess, colin should have finished my gsxr itb's on friday so should hopefully have those soon :y: also I've de-badged my grill and started to wide-mouth the front bumper and finished polishing my rocker covers finally (mainly because I was bored and cant do anything else to the car as its outside in the rain!) I've also decided to get my self a set of newman ph3's, still on the hunt for these.

right any way here's a couple of pics:

As for the fitting this will be same as a normal intake manifold as it's been fabricated by Colin/sandy so same bolt holes etc... and as for the power I couldn't tell you im afraid lol will have to wait and see what the end results produce :y:

_Jon_ 10th February 2011 20:15

can anyone think of anything elce I need to do to get the bodies up and running? i know i need to change ecu and get a remap and ecu loom adapted but other than that any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Richy_Rich 10th February 2011 21:18

You'll probably Need a new throttle cable, I highly recommend a filter! Makes no difference on performance! Proved as well, as long as you get a decent spaced sausage one....

Richy_Rich 11th February 2011 15:34
