i have dual something exhuasts ( not at all loud ) and with straight thru and 4-2-1 mani will pop and all that beeswax :)

i did want something raspy when you hammer it but dominoes are gay so id have to have something that doesnt really make noise till about 3k revs or over :/

Dont know why everyone seems to hate powerflow so much, iv got a powerflow back box with sportex centre section to cat and its a nice droney sound, not too loud but just right imo. I love it!

If your after something raspier sounding i wouldnt choose powerflow though as far as im aware they are mostly a deeper droney sound but i suppose as they are custom made this could be varied

because you can buy an exhaust designed to get you an increase in power for the same price..

underdosed_420 7th June 2011 09:01

This is my sportex 3"

vtr-djpacker-vtr 7th June 2011 11:04

But its not guna make a huge difference in terms of power gains when you are only doing the rear end of the system anyway.

In all fairness i wouldnt justify spending 200+ quid on a powerflow back box brand new but i got mine second hand and in good as new condition for less than half that price

saxoclarke 7th June 2011 17:49

my exhaust is quiet untill 3500 odd revs then it becomes pretty raspy

Jay_Tizzle 29th September 2011 09:20

i ended up getting a backbox , its a 3inch can if you like , a bit chavvy but i was desperate for noise instead of the car screaming at me and only cost £20 so :/ budgets tight but ill get a full system when i save up :P

Mine was deep with a cat back system, straight through centre and powerflow rear....still not exactly loud either, since fitting a 4-2-1 decat mani its a fair bit louder, deep and burbly when idling or cruising, soon as you plant it it turns to a loud rasp, not too farty though.

Does depend on the engine and the rest of the system to what sound you get, ive got a magnex but its stupidly raspy with a decat & 4-2-1. My mates had a really deep tone to it when he had cat and standard mani also 8v

Yes it's huge but i don't care, it' a 1.4, used for getting me from A to B not performance :homme:

some people say its chavvy but its very similar to mine and i like them.. they fit perfect into the bumper recess.. :y:

Magnex, nice and subtle until you flex your toe lol
