Just got back from Dundee an the car didn't miss a beat... Had a good few blasts with a S3 and a few others :) the S3 driver couldn't believe it was a 1.6 lol

And only using V Power now a it runs alot better and deffo bette MPG.

And will get some new photos up soon ;)

Yeah mate sick! I raced one when I had it and there's nothing in it!

People using Throttle bodies on these usually see about 180bhp IIRC, makes for a forking fast motor that's for sure...would be a Subaru eater for sure! May need to replace a few engine parts like valve springs etc but well worth it. Looks sick!

Went to the rolling road meet today which was good, met a few people and there were a few hood cars on the rollers... But mine only made 122bhp so going to check to make sure the cams are 708's and then service the car and in a few weeks it's going into a performance garage to get looked at.

And another downer a woman hit me yesterday so that is now another claim... Really sik of being crashed into now haha

Will get pics up of damage and rr pics soon and will report back about cams etc tomorrow

cheers :)

CitroenSport 7th August 2011 22:19

ok no pics as been too busy but its deffo running 708's and people have suggested its just not timed up correctly so its going to williams next week... pulled cambelt cover off tho and snapped it and now its making a mental noise!!! sik as fuk atm like :(

Liam_ 7th August 2011 23:19

Did you remove the ECU tray and engine mount before taking the belt cover off? Chalk it up to experience mate. ;)

Williams will get the timing sorted for you.

cheers:y:

shell-vt 10th August 2011 09:06

all costs £££££££... what power gains are you trying for ....

CitroenSport 13th August 2011 19:29

Well it was 153 so I'd be hoping for that or there abouts lol.... Fingers crossed just off a service and timing :D

Barry123 13th August 2011 20:02

sure the 122 wasn't wheel power?

blackie_2k5 13th August 2011 20:03

no ad, it was 99.? atw..

Barry123 13th August 2011 20:09

pahahahaaaa

Barry123 13th August 2011 20:37

anyway... yeah that was a bit harsh.

How the hell did the cams get that much out of timing? Something fishy going on surely?

i think it may have skipped a tooth tbh mate, even a few degrees out on the timing makes a big difference, when i cammed my old vtr on ph3s i got no timing info with it, so i timied it up to standard, and my house is bottom of street up to counrty lane to roundabout, say 1 mile or so

i warmed it up and blasted it up to the roundabout about 20 times, adujsting the timing to get it perfect, when i went too far it took it back,

took about 4 runs before i ent up going the right way with timing... after that every degree made a HUGE dif in power till i got it right :y:

Maybe worth checking out the above ^ then Frankie, I don't get it mate?! Unless for some strange reason the map that Wayne did for me just ain't working with your exhaust/intake setup cos you've swapped over the parts but still 30bhp?? My old non cammed white vts had 99bhp at the wheels on the dyno, and I had them both at the same time, AND had the cams put into the new one and mapped then took them both for a blast and the silver one was off like a rocket...??? Non comprendez... let us know how you get on with the garage. P.s you get that receipt? P.s.p.s. Next time I post I'll give you a link to the 15.1 beating a cammed C2 running 165bhp stripped out. No more p.s's I don't think. Roberto

P.s.p.s.p.s. I need to learn how to use paragraphs...

CitroenSport 19th August 2011 07:50

K so my day yesterday, went on a rally taster and had 4 laps in a rally prep'd Saxo and then a hop lap in an impreza and all I can say is what an experience lol think I like rally more than normal track driving... So watch this space lol but will upload some pics and vids later.

Then went to williams and guess what lol the car was on standard timing! Not just that tho... The ECU light isn't just on because of lambda sensors, it's because there is a problem with the ECU think it was code blah blah 6060. So that could also be the problem! So don't really know where to go from here!!!! Could it just be because of the remap tho? And only other way is to wait until the rolling road and then adjust it there to get top bhp :(

will get pics on later, cheers :y:

AndySAXO 19th August 2011 08:09

Save for standalone ecu and bodies!! Get the timing and mapped again.

Only way or getting the max out of the car now is a remap and timing done during the mapping session

As not always does the timing from the cam company to timing for your engine.

But should be better.

Maybe go to the sane dyno again for a quick run to see if it made a difference.

CitroenSport 19th August 2011 17:05

Cheers to everyone how has helped me with this (AndySAXO, Blackie, Williams to name a few) but been out with a mate and his 172cup and mine pulled about two car lenghts ahead of his from stand still until 2nd gear and then kept the gap way into triple digits so im not going to bother researching into this anymore im just going to get it raised to 40mm, lower brace on, strip it and enjoy it!

will deffo upload pics and vids later :)

A_Whit 21st August 2011 15:05

http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=Z9fKHnHLW1w That's it at Santa pod doing a 15.2 (hope the link works). Although it looks like the c2 beats it it's just the angle of the camera, watch the finish clock and the saxos clicks up first
( the c2 is cammed, standalone ecu, and stripped )
