Well it's in for lowering down in Crewe by ABP motorsport tomorrow morning... Early start for me! Apparently progressive spring keep more ride quality during day to day driving so I'm just going for springs and a fast road camber/toe setup.

Got them from Funkypower mate I think they are mint! Post us a link to your thread mate I can't find it! Yeah xenons are the daddyo of headlights but trying to spend my money wisely and normal lights will do during summer.

Rear tow bar fitted today! Yeah boi I like it though I can imagine it's not everyones cup of tea- it will annihilate anyones car if they run into the back of me!

Nice civic dude, do like cosmic greys meself, not as nice as milano though :P

Have a read on the forums fella, your wheel nuts are not designed for the standard wheels, the bolts are too small.

What exhaust did you go for? And hows it fuelling without a map, thought you had to have it remapped when adding a manifold...? Due to running lean?

I may be selling 4 month old ABP/Eibach 30mm lowering springs and Eibach front camber bolts if your interested? :)

Dan

Milano red is nice, think the cosmic makes the car look newer though for some reason. As for the bolts, they seem to fit fina and were sold by a reputable company to fit an ep3 type r so I'm sure they will be fine- but I'll check it out.

I went for dc sports manifold and system, got a free AEM v2 but will eventually invest in gruppe m.

I'm writing this on an iPhone so scrolling up is a bastard I might have missed something but... Oh yeah, haven't heard about issues with running lean- can you expand? I'll be investing in a kpro soon.

I'm booked in tomorrow at ABP and they have everything I need sorry bud!

Car's been lowered! Decided to go for 30mm springs custom made for ABP motorsport by eibach, looks perfect IMO! Pics below...

Wheels are in for refurb and spraying next week so idea please!! At the minute I'm thinking colour match to the body paintwork with a red rim but still undecided. £180 for refurb and paint job- not bad at all! After that maybe vinyl the roof black ... I'm open to ideas I seem to be running out of them myself!

johnlambert 30th July 2011 18:01

looks great lowered dude!!
really smart!
i want that tow bar!!

VTRelite 30th July 2011 18:11

What is the current fascination with people in Hondas putting a gay coloured tow bar on the back?

Maybe there has been a surge in gay people buying type rs? Not sure why that would be though... Or maybe tegiwa are doing some sort of half price offer for the homosexual community? Just hypothesising there...

Thanks mate!

Cosmics were only available on the facelifts IIRC?

Do they? Yeah just check, I heard they were only for aftermarket wheels :)

Cool, the DC is meant to be a good system, impressed with it? I need a manifold! Lol. Yeah apparently to get the best out of the manifold you need the map tweaking and otherwise they can run too lean... Not sure as im going off hear say.. :/

Looks nice on the ABP springs, beware of the steering rack creak.. :( Drives me insane hence Ive invested in Meister R coilovers... lol!

That makes sense yeah

You were right about the bolts thanks for the heads up! Gutted that I need to change them...

If I'm going to map it I want it on throttle bodies- do you know if there are any ITB kits available for the ep3?

I have a noise coming from the rear but have heard this may be something to do with the antiswau bar? You heard of issues with Dc systems and anti sway bars before?

ITB's are available, but you'll need higher lift cams etc, you're talking £5k+ to cam and ITB it, and even then you'll only get 260-70BHP at the most...

JRSC = 300BHP and if sourced second hand would cost £3.5K... Or £5K brand new

K24 bottom end and K20 head, bigger RBC, full exhaust, Gruppe M would be 300BHP with torque to match... But cost G of Fastcar in the region of £8K for the rebuild...

TBH mate I havent, but dont know much about them! Is there not much clearance between them both? With the lowered suspension could be rubbing whilst put under load? I know my RARB kit may rub with standard dampers and the bar being 24mm (standard 19mm) - another reason for coilovers!

vts-dave 3rd August 2011 18:19

im gettin an ep3 as my next car and im saving up for this http://www.cplracing.co.uk/products....=details&id=10 and a hondata ecu!

Jesus it really is expensive to do anything to these cars isn't it! Vts's are so easy to unleash power from.

What is yours running?

The Hondata ecu's are great and necessary if you're doing anything crazy but the +30bhp they advertise over a stock type r is simply due do dropping the vtec kick in. Would be lucky to have any major gains over standard during the vtec cam unless obviously you were running other things to compliment it.

Anyways... Dropped the car off for the wheels returning and spraying today, £200 all in which is fine. Gone for Honda's thunder grey!
