Been doing the same with my wheels. Backs and fronts, starting with 160 grade (shitty, disintegrating) wet & dry, filled any big chunks with chemical metal and they're now primed up and ready to be painted silver at the weekend :y:

Hardest bit is removing all the shite that's built up on the back of the rim, had to resort to a drill and assortment of wire brushes.

Yours are looking good though, would like to see pics once they're on the car.

good job on the wheels though. Wouldve personally done them any other colour than black tbh far too common and dull imo

Just what I was thinking, I bought 4 VTR Wheels with tyres with bubbling paint on them for £40

look really really good, i started mine about a month ago, but using the same shite paper that you started using. i bought some sanding wheels from ebay to get them done much faster only to be told by my dad that some pikey bastard had been in our shed and stolen the fucking drill !!!!

so now they are just sat in my garden haha

Just get ya self some heavy duty aluminium oxide paper and hand sand them its prototype fast with same results as drill sanding
