Last week i didn't see a 30cm deep hole in the road, slammed the lower strut brace on it. I already thought it was bend up a bit the car was making a weird noise and it would hit the exhaust. Well, the lower strut brace is totally messed up. It's bent and everything.

Sophia_Bush 1st March 2013 14:13

sump doesn't look to bad at least the brace took some beating and didn't damage anything else

Martijn_M 1st March 2013 14:16

Sump is just scratched and has a dent in it. Not worried about that.

The brace did protect my exhaust. I guess it's a nice souvenir for on my random parts wall.

Bedford126 1st March 2013 14:28

Have seen much more than the brace mate. I have had them in work so bad they spring off when you undo the bolts.

Gandi699 1st March 2013 14:57

You'll bend that back! I had to bend mine back just from hitting large rocks and drain covers on my driveway

baker556 1st March 2013 15:11

my brace was literally bent in half hit a massive fence log in the middle of the road coming of a blind bend drivers on the other side of the road couldn't swerve, road was wet/oily dark!

Lovely rallyes martin, my strut brace pretty much looked the same as that when I removed it from my vts :), I'm one of the lads going on the nurburgring trip be good if you turned up :)

Martijn_M 7th March 2013 11:40

Since i got my airbox i was always annoyed by the chrome look, i hate chrome. So today i finally decided to change it.

Should look a lot better.

stevie_m 8th March 2013 03:18

Lovely example there buddy, looking forward to reading more from you.

Maxwell 8th March 2013 06:30

Love the rallye. Pity about your black s1!!

And again your english is perfect. Been in Eindhoven, Breda, Tilburg, Rotterdam and Dordrect a few times. Roads in holland are better than germany in my opinion

Good luck Martijn

Thanx guys!

Yeah the roads aren't to bad. But after this winter there are potholes everywhere, i look like a drunk driver trying to avoid them... :P

Yeah it's a shame for the S1, but it's up and running somewhere else in Holland now.

Update:

First job is done.

Martijn_M 31st March 2013 21:08

While driving to Italy last year i was annoyed about not having the ability to open the windoes without getting deaf. Got some wind deflectors a while ago, decided to fit them this morning. I don't really care if it's scene/ricer or whatever. It just does the job i want them to do, so i can hear the Pugsport better lol.

Love your rallye mate

Many over there?

Martijn_M 26th April 2013 20:05

Thanx! There is also something Saxperience related in the background :p

I rarely see them. There are around ~310 S2 Rallyes left in Holland.

jpsaxo 26th April 2013 23:44

Excellent mate. Can't beat a Rallye tbh - shame about the black S1, they are very rare in the UK now

You should get a satshifter ;) oh and also meet us at the ring too mate :D

Martijn_M 1st May 2013 16:16

Back from the 'Ring. It was awesome, new parts are a great improvement to the handling.

Sophia_Bush 1st May 2013 18:50
