The 'digitizer' is what i keep finding. but i can't find any repair companies that will do it for less than £100.

Sorry I should have been more specific. The screens don't break that easily, and you should see the state of the BBs I get. Defo get a nokia bar, they just go forever.

Element cases are nice for iPhones. Check your contract with them in paper or whatever you signed.

Dicksound.

I pay £7.50 a month to cover 2 iphones, an ipad mini, a kindle HD thing, my SLR and a few laptops, £50 excess and I've already had the ipad screen done, needs done again.

It's still cheaper than a shop and it's insured unlike "Mr Happy Happy Screen Repair Good Times Man"

Where is this from? This is exactly the sort of cover I need.

I’ve already smashed my laptop, and I smashed my last phone too (which is why I forked out a ridiculous amount for the Z1). I’m now worried about breaking my new phone, and my iPad. As I said in the first post, if I do break my phone/iPad, I’m screwed, business wise. Getting my SLR insured would be useful too, although they’re pretty durable, it’s always worthwhile, just in case.

Barclays

Most bank accounts have this sort of thing as a bolt on

So, I recently smashed my laptop to pieces and it stopped working. Luckily, I took out the protection plan when I bought my laptop, so it’s been sent away for repair free of charge. My laptop is very important for me for my uni work, and I also do a bit of digital photography.

Fortunately, I can use my phone and ipad as an interim until I get my laptop back. They’re not as good, but they’re good enough so that I can talk to the people at my uni, sort out work etc. This got me thinking, if I now smashed my phone/ipad I’d be in serious trouble, as they’re not covered.

So I thought I’d get them covered. I first tried to get them added to the protection plan I took out when I bought my laptop, but since they were bought from different stores, I wasn’t able to. I then phoned up ‘protect your bubble’ and they quoted me £8pm to get my phone (which is a Z1) and ipad (16gb mini retina) covered. I asked what the cover included, and they said “everything, apart from if you break the screen or if you lose it”. Now, don’t get me wrong, but aside from water damage (and the Z1 is waterproof), I don’t know how else you’d break these things? So it sounds to me like the insurance company is nothing more than a scam.

Has anyone had any experience with protect your bubble? Or any other similar company? Is there anyone that might be better? I don’t want to pay £8pm and then the day I break my phone or something and it stops working, they say “sorry sir, we don’t cover cracked screens”.

tl;dr: Are protect your bubble a scam? Are there any decent gadget protection companies?

Mate, protect your bubble are known to be fucking shite.
Stay clear.

This really confused me. I don’t have an iPhone, and I don’t have a contract with anyone, whoever it is you’re referring to?

Plus I’ve corrected the link for you ;) cheers in advance for the new reach haha :y:
