the only sadev that will take the torque of a boosted engine is the st82- made for polo turbo cup -I have a man in Ireland with one in a s/c c2 tarmac rally car --it makes 260@wheels ---but unless you going to have paddle air shift and auto throttle blipping/rpm matching on down change its only half the job
so thats another 3k+ for geartronics system to do that
Ihad the lot --great to drive 30millisecs gear shifts even in middle of a corner with no loss of drive .
a dog box is only good if you can drive and match rpms or its life will be short --don,t fit to a road car

best cheap alternative if you have an elctronics guru is the c2/c3 sensodrive box --just making the electronics work on another car will require some trouble --it is really std MA and clutch but elelctronics lift clutch +engage gear for you + move the fly by wire throttle as well --we had it on the s/c c2 vtr we did --it was very good --you could easy fit quiafe c/r internals +lsd

you don't need a 3k geartronics system if you have a dta ecu, you can do it for about £250.

whilst i agree you can run a squential through a DTA -you can,t do everything ,like paddle shift ,rpm mtaching+throttle blipping , on downshift etc with a dta,
reason i went that way, apart from always wanting flappy paddles+ throttle matching , was to protect the box from excessive wear due to poor driving on my part
you know i am a fan of the dta with the pricing+what it can do

not sure about the £250 would need to be an s60 i think to get enough inputs which will be £800? for the ecu

Martin said the S100 it'd need to be, but the S60 may have the capability soon, Alex is pushing the DTA brand/company forwards with a lot of new stuff in the pipeline.

s100 is what i had cos i didnt, know what other gizzmo,s i wanted to fit later as i was already running 8 injectors --so outputs dissappear pretty quick then

welshpug 29th April 2016 16:20

they certainly do! though my S40 will do 8 injectors, just not sequential.

axsaxoman 30th April 2016 08:33

to be honest squential injection is never needed for performance +only improves emmisions slightly
but yes running squential injection and maybe independant coils soon eats up the outputs.
it was in my mind to go full traction control so that would another load of connections for 4 wheel sensors .
now we talking serious wiring looms .lol
but to be honest with s/c --if you can drive it aint worht the bother --just use the throttle corrcetly --so much time to set it up right for both wet+dry conditions
