cheers man :y:

nah, you pay £25 to go on (thats unlimited runs) and included in that is recovery if you breakdown, i was proper worried though because i thought the AA wouldn't recover me from santapod because i'd be on the strip, but they were sound about it

its sort of like a car club, theres plenty of threads about it in the EM section haha

gsavill90 31st May 2011 15:27

Glad to see you got it sorted after the strip! Could have been a lot worse :p

I did that exact thing to my windscreen... gut wrenching isn't it? :D

Do you have fully comp insurance? I got mine replaced and only had to pay a 50 pound excess. The guy from autoglass said people do it all the time. I think insurance covers accidental damage, so you should be fine :)

haha yeah man, i'm fully comp, i've phoned up and been told it'll cost me £75 with autoglass, its just of those things that you never get round to doing haha

gsavill90 31st May 2011 15:39

Yeh i know what you mean, took me a few weeks!

It's really simple though, fill in a two minute form online, give them your insurance number.
Then they phone you up to confirm and take payment of the excess.
When the guy comes it only takes about 30-45 minutes, and you'll have a nice shiny windscreen :D

I was really happy with mine, as my old one had 12 years of abuse and 130k miles of stonechips on it. Now i can't even see it's there it's so clear :D

Stissy 10th June 2011 16:40

Stissy 13th June 2011 20:53

the LED sidelights started flickering about a month back so i had to take them out
though i've got some prism frost white side lights on order from eurocarparts

AL3X_ 13th June 2011 22:25

get some smoked angels i reckon, i was going to do that but i ran out of money...

you know what, i cant find a way to secure them to the outside of my car without them falling off, i got some velcro stuff, but i left some outside and the glue that would stick the velcro to my car and to the number plate went all weird in the sun and melted

AL3X_ 14th June 2011 13:55

You think mate, i'm really unsure lol, depends what I can afford haha.

As for the plates, first off take your old plates off and hold them up to the bumper/pate recess, make sure the curviture is the same, if not bend the plates ever so slightly and carefully so you don't crease them but so they fit the recess correctly, you could probably just use thicker bits of tape at the edges than the middle if bending them scares you.

Then if you go to a motor parts shop(I got mine from a local Wilco Motosave which is a bit like Halfords but cheaper and usually has more technical stock rather than full of ripspeed shite lol) and get a roll of body trim tape. Its just like that double sided foam tape but stronger. USe that on the plates and it should hold them hopefully. :y:

Ramigojag 7th August 2011 18:50

Stissy 3rd October 2011 13:04

i'm not sure if these pictures will work, since photobucket doesn't seem to work anymore...

but, i borrowed a friends bra for a 300 mile round trip to T4 on the beach:

and added a vice magazine sticker from 2007:

AL3X_ 3rd October 2011 13:07

They aint worked for me mate :(

As for this car:

Theres an ibiza near me with those red headlights, not a cupra or anything though... the stupid thing is his car is silver and the red just looks shit as the rest of the car is entirely standard, are these lights an extra or something?

i have no idea why it doesn't work, if i post the link:
http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/t..._2135699_n.jpg
that works fine, but if i IMG code it then it doesn't show up, thats the crack?

i'm not sure, the guy who has those red headlights did them himself, so i dont think you can buy them, but maybe you can?

AL3X_ 3rd October 2011 13:36

Same if I post it mate^

Email me them on FB is you like i'll upload them to mine?

Ah I see, not sure why the one near me has them then, sure its a middle aged woman that drives it as well.

i upload them to photobucket then use them on seatcupranet, they work fine there, its when i try to put them on here too it does that. i just have to upload each picture twice, it works when i do that

AL3X_ 3rd October 2011 13:42

Ah I see, what a headblag lol...

Stissy 23rd November 2012 14:22

Stissy 26th March 2013 22:00

a cheeky picture of the car in the snow back in January/February 2012.

and some engine loving for the cold months

DickSound photoshoot for Golf+ Magazine:

i also got the front bumper strip vinyl wrapped in carbon, a few pictures from other meets around summer 2012

Stissy 26th March 2013 22:02

and to round the thread off, towards the end of last year, the car was used for a 2013 calendar for ds:lc

the front suspension seems lik it's easier then a saxo for changing springs n shocks. is that true? how reliable is it?

Bedford126 26th March 2013 23:18

For once this is not meant in a pervy or sex pred way. But What's the name of the girl mate? I am pretty sure I went to college with her in derby.

i didn't change my own suspension, it had to be done at a garage (so i could keep warranty on the parts) However i have fitted coilovers to another mk4 Ibiza FS. We had 4 of us going at it, it took us about 3 hours to do the front and rear. It's a pretty easy job :y:

Thats pretty doubtful mate, she lives a long way away from Derby.
Plus she's a lot younger than 26 haha.

wolf_gsxr 27th March 2013 09:22

Nice car mate. I've just move over to the dark (reliable) side and got the leon cupra. Love the car but hate all the engine strangling valves and pipes.

utothek 27th March 2013 09:58

Beautiful car! Any more plans or is that it now?

Cheers :y: well it was actually up for sale mate about a year ago. since then i've not touched it modification wise. I reckon i'll put it up for sale again this year when the weather gets a little warmer - i'm ready to move on now.

she does mate yeah, she's not bothered about the modifications or anything but she does say that people keep flashing her when they're driving the opposite way at night. i think maybe one of the headlight bulbs are out or something? but each time i check they seem fine - so i don't know what the problem is.

Stissy 22nd April 2013 23:03

Well last week i said goodbye to the car. I now drive a little 1.4 6N2. But only for a short while. new car coming soon :y:
