youre car looks so sweet ryza wanna swap :D lol

Cheers mate haha costs alot of money tho! As yours is a road car a rear cage would be good enough and you wouldnt know it was there when driving? Ifyou have a full cage dont get cross door bars as it would be a nightmare getting in and out everyday lol

I got 8000k I wanted 6000k but they were a bit to white like the sun lol
I also passed a few police today none of them even looked twice but you will need to lower them mote than what you're electric ones will go ( the little white screw ) as they are quite high :y: but they make a massive difference at night :D and they are H&4 hi-lo :y:

Ye just the rear is all I'm going to have. Then I think that's all I want to do for looks really apart from some pro 1.2s and a vtr rear axel :D then engine fun times :D

ryza 6th December 2012 22:40

Sounds good! Pro races are best i think, ive also got a set of speedlines comps 2 and oz superturismos but prefer the weight and design of pro races, seem to help keep the brakes cooler

Doesn't sound too bad, is it hard to move them down further than the switch thing?

DJVTR 7th December 2012 17:50

No there is a little white screw on the headlight just turn that but not to many times and the same on both sides :y:

DJVTR 13th December 2012 21:07

Ok so I'm thinking of boost can the 1.4 handle the same as 1.6 would it make much different to swap the engine and 16v is not an option !

Why? ?????

josh11490 13th December 2012 21:51

If you won't put a 16v in, I would put a vtr 8v in, when your boosting you might as well start if with more power before throwing money at it.

Because he will hide the turbo under a bigger manifold shield so nobody can see it.

16v looks different. If you catch my drift ;)

Tom5190 13th December 2012 21:58

Haha but your just as likely to get caught with that as with a 16v!

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:03

what > caught ? im not looking to hide anything

all i want to know is what is the advatage of fitting a turbo to a vtr over a furio ?
will they not take the same amount of boost ?
im only looking for around 170 its just a toy and i live in a small town
:y:

robster247 13th December 2012 22:04

still after some subframes ? i have a pair of sparco subframes for a saxo/106 for sale

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:07

sorry robster i already have them in :y:

blackie_2k5 13th December 2012 22:10

youll always want more

and itll be alot safer to get 170 from a vtr then a 1.4

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:21

thanks blackie :y:
can i run around 6psi roughly on standared vtr engine ? and im i right in thinking a healthy engine would achive around 150 -160 ?

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:24

when i say standared engine i mean internals ? im going to run a 5th injector

blackie_2k5 13th December 2012 22:24

yes

but if you want it to last it need proper ecu to control it, but chipwizzards can now map OE ecu for boost

so this or some form of mappable ecu is the key to making it work right

ryza 13th December 2012 22:28

Whats the reason for not using a 16v?

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:34

me and my cousin want to stay 8v and have a little comp see who can get the best track time ect and isnt the vtr engine lighter ?

The 1.4s are lighter than the vtr's as they are made from alloy and not cast iron, i can imagine the vts is a little more heavy than the vtr

Try the track times vs as your engines are first then go from there.

DJVTR 13th December 2012 22:53

but if i set it up well i could have a healthy and safe 1.4 lightweight turbo around 160 bhp ?

DJVTR 17th January 2013 21:13

ok so i have now swaped out the 1.4 for a nice health 1.6 8v :y: and befor you all say " should have 16v " i got the emgine for free aswell as it being a lil comp between me and my cousin :D

its pretty standard apart from 306 xsi injectors ( or so i have been told but they are blue ? )
im also going to sell my supersprint mani to start saving for the boost :D

will get picsone day but you cant realy tell the dif in the engines lol

DJVTR 18th January 2013 14:54

this it the 1.6 vtr engine i got for free :D

gave it a very good clean and striped and rebuild :D

i was very worried about the ecu as i didnt know if it was locked ect but after a whole day of swapping it out on my own for the 1st time i turned the key and it burst into life :D

then cleaned it and got it looking like this again :Y;

just to wake up and find this

i hate this wether :(
now starting to get ready for boost :D
comments welcome :Y: good or bad ;)

id of thought absolute minimum would be 5th injector so its fueling right for that length of time

I wouldnt risk it to be honest youll either be underfueling (most likely i think) or overfueling both end in bye bye to your engine although in different ways,

Iv got a few links to some info on turboing as i want to do this to my VTR 106 soon - I have no experience to do with Turboing cars so some things may not be completely accurate...

but heres some links iv read though:

Hope this helps ya

DJVTR 9th March 2013 16:14

been a while since i have done an update ( no monies :( ) but heres whats happend so far....

i bought a dastek unichip q that has been maped to a vtr same year with breathing mods and exaust ( similar to mine )

it pulls alot better :y: feels nice and conservitive untill 4k revs then pulls like a train :)

i also have the wireing diagram ( drawings ) if needed by anyone :Y:
as i know these are insanely hard to get hold of

i then began to take a few bits off to save wieght
i did just take the back seats and spare wheel off to start with then got carried away

glad i did as i found this :(

so thats now being treated :y:

didnt have the heart to get rid of the sub so is now strapped in in a centeral position and ads a nice bit of wieght to the back :Y:

FROM THIS ..

TO THIS ...

than added the comfey clean seats :D

i also bouught this :D

sits realy straight and was only £50 :y:

then gave the car a needed clean lol

thats all for now :y:

all comments welcome good or bad :y:

DJVTR 9th March 2013 16:15
