really like how thesis going fella, the small touches do make big differences and imo this is a really tidy example of a saxo, hasn't been ruined and can see its only going to get better, shame about the little issues you had but I'm sure you have or will sort it. was just looking at pictures of when you got it to the recent ones and it really does stand out more now in good way :y:

They're £15 a side from Citroen. :fcuk: getting a pair next Tuesday. :fcuk:

The above for behind the doors were £20 :panic:

It could be worse though. It could be £150 for 3 Type R decals ( kid you not) for a Hondaz from the dealers.

The Type R badge on the centre console was missing from my old DC5, Honda wanted £87 for a replacement. I wanted to shove my penis in the Parts guys eye socket

Anyway, Saxo looks cleaner than a clean thing, proof you can polish a turd

Yeah i've had some shit luck with the car. From the clutch failing, gbox mount working loose on a b road :panic:, rot in the bay, pump and injector failure and most recently a shitty side respray thats to be corrected next week. Been a headache like but im about through that almost :homme:

Paintwork overall isnt bad like. Its not epic but not bad.

Cheers dude

Is the drivers side wheel a slightly different shade of silver?!

Ross 16th May 2014 14:46

I need the steering wheel logo on the bottom of the steering wheel - it's about 1.5cm wide by .7cm tall...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-RS4-S...item338e6c4f43

£40. Jokers.

Gabbastard 16th May 2014 14:56

Do your Wilwoods squeak? Mine seem to squeak a lot when braking lightly, not Brembo type "nails down a blackboard", just like a creaky squeaking.

Looks very good nick going by the chassis rails.

I think they just dot any price down. Surely these don't cost ridic amounts ot make.

I looked at the bloke twice and ummed and arred and since i'm struggling to get a pair from the BSM lad on here i just went to my local as i'm desparate :homme: need them before FCS.

After a month or so usage i do get the odd squeak yeah, only just noticed today. They're cleaned weekly so it's not the dust. Might just be the pads i dont know.. just standard pads/discs (for now).

Decided to take all 4 wheels off, clean them and put 2 coats of 1000p hi temp wax on them. Now they bead.

.. and then clean the car cause it looked a shit tip. :homme: and thats it till it's big detail day/2 before FCS.

Because of the Jack before the "you're not low" comments flood in lol..

Over the moon with the car as it is atm, for a change.

Cheers all. :y:

Not just you. Bumper isn't on straight. Very slight tilt up at the front causing misalignment at the joins at the back (wing etc) looking at it. Now we've pointed it out John will have to fix it or it'll grind him every time he sees it :D

edit: is that a scuff on the front bumper bump strip too?? Damn you're slacking Johnh!

if I'm honest, I only mentioned it because I knew it would annoy him! That said, it forces him in to super high standards so he really should thank us.

Prickle 16th May 2014 16:39

I'll have a look at it, thanks Dave. Lol :P The bumpers never been off Ross, that arch vt kit has when i cleaned under it, but meh, bothered me though. Bumper scuffs been there since i bought it lol, only so much i can do tbh.

Yeah.. here's £52s worth of vinyls.

Cars in the bodyshop tommorow so pics probs Friday/Sat of it done. VT kit i doubt will go on till mid next week when the paint's 100% hard incase i press too hard and wear the paint. So it'll still look shit, but decent paint, haand hopefully be 1 shade or at least close.

After that it's just niggles here and there and a good wash etc for FCS really. Next month wont see much progress other then a Supersprint stainless centre section to decatzzzz it, finally. After the MOT though. Be a month or so break as i've spent a fucking fortune like, more then i've wanted to so, ha.

MuZiZZle 20th May 2014 13:38

I'd finish this off by lowering it and making all of the panels match!

Prickle 20th May 2014 13:41

Ideally they will tommorow..

MuZiZZle 20th May 2014 13:58

How are they so shit?

They sprayed the front of my legacy silver, it was champagne gold!

Painters man!

Prickle 20th May 2014 14:16

He just is.. he took shortcuts it seems at my expense. He'll be painting his own car soon enough, i'll make sure of that.

Another note the bodyshop it's booked in for said it's an absolute shocking job (well i knew that) no prep, nothing really. So the new bodyshop has to sort his work out and then re-do it all again, i'm sure he'll enjoy that lol.

Yeah after the first bodyshop i'm abit warey but we'll see. If it ends up tits up again i'll actually break in tears lol

Are you going to arrange for a tonne of salt and vinegar flavouring to be dumped on it?!

MuZiZZle 20th May 2014 14:23

Drag a deep ridge cut along it you badass!

Wouldn't the vinegar just wash the salt off?

Prickle 20th May 2014 14:38

Anyway..

Next update the weekend, close ups etc.

Brettles1986 20th May 2014 14:44

Looks clean John G.

Wish my car was (A) working correctly (B) this clean. I'm too damn lazy to clean it for hours.

The bottom pulley has started to squeal with clutch movement. I thought it was the clutch but I doubt that is the case as it's a rotational noise that changes with the vibration of the engine.

In some ways I was hoping it was the clutch as the guy I bought it off signed to say he would get it fixed. Won't know for sure until I get a garage to diagnose it tbh. The parts alone are £180.

MuZiZZle 20th May 2014 15:05

I might pop up and burn it out for you, I bet you'd output enough salty tears to put the flames out!

Prickle 24th May 2014 14:57

Right as most of my FB buddies :homme: know i went into a bodyshop for a full side respray (full jazz) 5 weeks ago now it came out looking worse then it went in 4 weeks later. Paint was peeling, he hadnt sorted marks out i asked and all that. it was an hactual depressing shit tip. :n: My noob error for not getting a reciept so no money back. Lesson learnt there. :P twas 4 weeks before FCS and its the least of things i wanted to be redone again.

We all know the door was slightly off shade and other places had hideous marks, bit of laqaur peel and the chipped wing when someone scuffed the car.

So pics of how it was after the first bodyshop. :panic:

So yeah it looked shite. I found another bodyshop, couple said he's the best around here. (well i wish i knew that). Dropped it off 3 days ago, got it this morning and the finish is awesome. Proper happy with it. I need some of the metal brackets for the vt kit so the 1/4 and door one is off for the time being.

It did have to be stripped right back to the bare metal because of my shit paint and his wanky paint, the door came off also. Proper job.

Pics of how it is after the new bodyshop worked their magic.

Replaced the knackered washer bottle cap

And lastly edited some pics on photoshop.

Once the rest of the kits on and the door vinyls its about done. Just mainly cleaning.

MuZiZZle 24th May 2014 17:12

You should have got the hatch done the same colour while it was in???

And got it lowered

Etc

Prickle 24th May 2014 17:15

The what?

Brettles1986 24th May 2014 18:29

He thinks he's American, he's half way there being a fact hunt

MuZiZZle 24th May 2014 18:46

I'm implying that your hatch is now the wrong colour, as a sort of ongoing paint joke to make you paint your hatch. Then I'll make you paint the other side, forcing you to paint your car over and over again, sort of like the Forth Road Bridge, but in car form.

Prickle 24th May 2014 19:14

I was about to edit it with 'bender'

Yeah that'll not happen muz lols. It's all one colour now :P I knew about the drivers door long before anyone haha. I just put it off for aslong as possible :P

the rest can stay, as it's fine
