Cams going in as we speak, took the head off removed all excess wiring for the time being. new seals everywhere are goin on. Just about ready to lift old cam out.. watch this space and pictures to follow tonight :y:

Am looking forward to your results mate, am also thinking of the ph3 and remap once ive saved the money up. Will be good to see your figures from the rolling road print outs aswel. Good luck and hope you get what your wanting to achieve.

Well we started work on the car half 9:45 this morning and finished at 7pm.. Here are the progress pictures from all day.


Starting with the equipment, newmans ph3, vernier pulley, new cam belt and new oil seal, and new gasket.

Standard engine bay prior to demolishion lol..

Few pictures of taking the rocker cover off.

Then the cam belt cover to expose the old belt which needs to be changed. Also took the manifold off for maximum movement around the bay.

Then off came to top block.

Block draining.

Old cam picture.

Some cleaning & polishing around the block.


Side of block cleaned and polished.

New cam fitted ;)

Bowl full of bolts removed.

Cleaned and polished bottom block

New Vernier Pulley fitted.

New Belt then fitted.

Top block fitted back and then timed up.

Throttle body replaced and rewired.
