Not at all at the moment as I don't have a visa lol, but normally work there about 10 months of the year and back here 2 months a year (a month over Christmas, and a month in the English summer)

Anyway back to the car...

hard_corejoeboy 20th March 2011 09:58

Sounds good mate although because they drive on the left i would have the car shipped over and back all the time!

MangoJake 20th March 2011 10:03

I love your car! Come fit a 16v engine in my car please :y: lmao work of art mate

jpsaxo 20th March 2011 20:53

Hardcorejoe - lol, if I move over there permanently ill definitely got it wrapped up and shipped over there :D

Jake - thanks bud!

Couple more pics, got more done after alex and Lee popped over to drop his gripper dif over but forgot to take pics

Larger servo and 23mm master cylinder all done and bleed up

Drivers side tidied up, primered and painted (pics of it painted tomorrow)

It's been 5 years since the car was originally built so some parts definitely needed going over again to preserve the chassis! More pics tomorrow...

Got it all back together tonight lads, went to start, was turning but not firing. Had a wiggle around the bay, checked everything over. Still the same... Hmmm

Then put ignition on, fuel pump wasn't priming. Checked fuse box in the bay, a fuse had gone, wacked a new fuse in, bam! Started first time, running and idling alot sweeter now as well.

Let her warm up, checked the new slimline fan, spinning the wrong way so I'll swap the cables over tomorrow, and put the headlights, grill, procomp and strut brace all back in.

Pics tomorrow :D

Yeah come and introduce yourself mate :)

Btw that isn't rust on the slam panel it's just dirt that's stuck to the clear underseal I put on it a few years back.

LEE_VTR1 29th March 2011 19:53

If you look back through my photobucket account you'll see how we did it. Basically masked the engine off, removed suspension and everything around the top struts and sprayed it using our compressor/spray gun in the garage lol

Danny - definitely!

Lee - cheers mate

AndySAXO 29th March 2011 20:46

yer i have no engine in it just a shell really but with few bit still in, not painting the bulkhead, just the side bits as we are welding few bits and top mounts,

yer thanks hope the top mounts come soon so i can weld them on. :D
