Another update! Yep i know im on fire :P

Made an iPod and Mobile phone holder to fit in the coin tray today as i was bored.

Easy enough to make, 1 piece of MDF cut to shape, then covered with faux leather and slotted in place, i think it looks pretty good

Next thing on the list is an engine start button...

Don't quote me on this but I think you've put your oil breather filter thing on wrong...you need to keep the original black hose (with the yellow clip) on where you've put your breather and instead attach the breather to the end of the black pipe (with the yellow clip) that would plug into the original airbox.

Morgiee 4th May 2010 22:49

Nice on so wanted one of these but funny enough could make it. Could you make us one mate. So that i can mount my switches and phone to it also my ipod when i get it lol

And ill do the starter motor for you

Deal or no deal lol

This is true, car will be safe but you do need to block off the piperX holes.

Thans mate, i tried a finger of a rubber glove but it spoilt the look of the engine bay so im still looking :P

Tom5190 5th May 2010 19:21

yea you need something abit more substantial that a rubber finger haha.

Morgiee 5th May 2010 22:39

lol wouldnt it be funny if when accelerating the finger blew up and expanded and when not accelerating deflated :p like when you blow in a rubber glove lol

And PM'ed you Lewis mate :y:

Probably 2 of the last updates for this car as far as I know.

Had the rear raised up, now its sitting 35mm lower than standard. Id just like to say a big thanks to Craig (silversaxo113) and Mark (mark_saxo_83) for doing the raising. Twice now and both done a great job, highly reccommended from me :)

Also fitted a push button engine start, many thanks again to Morgiee.

The only thing I may do is fit a new centre section and standard backbox.

Heres some pics:

Thanks

looks alot better now, good job you put it up before your dampers went, would not be good if you were driving

dankzy 8th May 2010 17:44

same, i putting mine back to standard, putting old wheels back on, spraying grill satin black and putting standard badges back on, going to go to scrapy, not sure about the lights tho, i might just leave them, or find someone to swap with

Just advertise the lights on the saxp for sale/wanted section saying 'staight swap for standards'

Sell the VTR wheels for £120ish. You planning on selling the car come renewal?

Mcinabout 8th May 2010 18:59

Tbh i like the way the car sits now even though you are selling, is more subtle and looks alot better, and prob is better to drive lol. Shame to hear your selling, but everyones got to move on sometime i suppose, good luck in the sale mate:y:

Thanks mate, I have to admit it looks more refined than some of my other 'looks' I donned. Ive decided to put it up for sale but in no rush to get rid of it so im waiting for the right price. Seens how ill be at uni in september ill hardly use the car so fuel costs are pretty irrelevant.

Ive got a few cars ive got my eye on if i do sell, mainly VTR's and S1 106 16v's. So ill see what happens and just go with the flow :)

Jay_- 8th May 2010 19:05

Looks mental mate

Yeah thats fair does. Im going to stick with my flatarch for a couple of years, and just make it mint and just enjoy it. Yeah Uni is understandable, but the cars youve mentioned sound good:y:
