the guy told me i have a compression problem, air leak from piston rings :n:
So not running at full potential and would recommend a new bottom end, or refurbed.

oh shit. that sounds expensive. have you compression tested your cylinders?

evans1089 4th April 2009 15:23

hehe its sorted

Mochachino 4th April 2009 15:27

:/ thats not good news at all mate.

Whats your plan with it then? How you gonna sort it? Did you still pay full wack for the new map?

he said theres no need, he can feel the air coming out of the rocker cover when he removed it!

What sort of oil breather setup have you got on the rocker cover? Try going back to the standard airbox and breathers before you spend any money. Might also be worth getting a second opinion too - I don't buy what this guy is telling you tbh.

gouldy87 4th April 2009 22:08

yea he advised me to have mine refurbished or put another one on but have no idea about bottom ends :n:
Help?? :y:

Luke 8th April 2009 22:34

You not know anywhere with a VTR engine going spare with decent mileage on? Depends on costs I guess.

evans1089 8th April 2009 22:46

i can get one i guess.. do you know benefits of a bored bottom end? i'm sure i've heared that before..

Luke 8th April 2009 22:48

I know it would make it quicker, that's all I know - not clued up on bottom ends myself.
