Thats why a Piper is on order among other things before i come and see you haha ;)

Its been on there since i got here but hasnt been changed like the rest of the system yet due to more important things, just polished the scrap can up.

The harnesses feel better than just being mounted straight tbh.
They are so tightly adjusted for the driver's side they couldn't slip and do any harm anyways lol.

Apart from the rubbish in the back in those pics and 2 GTI leather seats shes ready for action :y:

Buckets need to be picked up and the leather dropped off so expect an update on the interior soon ;)

craig180 27th April 2008 20:14

I think you should sell me your wheels red :p

That's nowhere near stripped though. I still see ice. Rip it out!

Not for sale atm although i do need some track wheels :err:

Ideas Mr180?

It has a dash, some wiring behind that, Head Unit and Alpine front comps with small hidden amp...Couldn't live without them in the car so they are staying lol

If i had my way id have a second car as a track toy which would be stripped of everything, true slag style:

1 seat
Few wires and digi-dash in place of the old plastic lump
Some sort of shell around the wheels which id call a chassis
A spec'd engine
And fook all else tbh. :P

Thats getting me thinking now actually!

More proper videos in the next few days as those were pretty pants ;)

Yates 28th April 2008 14:15

cant be arsed reading thru it all, whats the spec of it or is it just standard engine wise?

Viper 28th April 2008 14:37

dont you dare take the HU out! lol

will be in for a boring ride if you do :(

and will i need ear defenders if its going to be stripped. lol will be loud as foock!

HU and components are staying in bud so no worries ;)

Already stripped apart from the dash and 2 seats which i cant be arsed with lol. Loud enough but not too loud which i like.

Some of the engine bay has also been stripped along with the firewall, spare wheels, undercarrige and other random brackets and pieces that aren't needed.

Seriously thinking about getting the sunroof welded over as i hardly use it anyways and its more weight/one less thing to
go wrong and break on a saxo :P

Yates - If you read some of it dude i've done the basics like:

Induction kit and oil breather
Head gasket
* Straight through system
SS 4-2-1 manifold fully heat-wrapped
SS centre section from Kam
Head gasket
New alternator
Belts and a full service (Silkolene Fully synthetic oils and better oil filter)
Uprated fuel filter

Loads more to come but i've mainly been focusing on suspension and brakes for the next few months antics.

Sparco upper brace
OMP lower brace (adonised red)
Goodridge lines
Brake system fully bled with 5.1 Motul pro fluid
Bias and pedal adjusted
Mintex M1155 pads that need fitting
X-Sport racing gear linkages
Griffiths and Compbrake quickshifts that also need fitting
New track rods
Wheel bearings
Uprated droplinks

Plus a few other goodies like the new tyres i've found, finishing touches to the zorst and induction systems. Interior needs some attention next week with my new buckets and frames to go in and harnesses adjusted then i will give the whole underside a clean up with some fresh lick of hammerite and a good detail :y:

Some terrible, gash boxter/imola style backbox that looks a bit like a sportex item i think!? :homme:

Came on the car when i got it last year but i've replaced the whole system and sorted other stuff out as its bad i know but a new BB wasnt really essential so gave it a clean and polish and left it on for the moment, just looks and sounds a bit gash with the induction kit haha.

Piper backbox should arrive very soon!!!
Also getting a Green Forced induction kit on order from Kam this week to go with and finish things off Karl :y:
