Gleaming as usual, only thing i don't like is the wheels

Wonder if anyone has actually done their bonnet like that, a perspex bonnet with some sort of colouring to it to match the car, but is still see through on close inspection

CHIP 30th July 2010 23:19

Lol, i know a lot of people don't like the wheels. But i like them. They're a bit different to what most people have on here and help the car stand out a bit imo. Even if they aren't to everyone's taste lol.

I described them to Toyah as being like Nike or Adidas trainer's... A bit chavvy but kinda look good lol.

sn3ddon 30th July 2010 23:21

looks epic nicé photos

JRC1 30th July 2010 23:25

Car looks great, love the first pic. Out of interest, how hard were the bushes to fit? I should be getting some Powerflex ones soon and wondered what was involved. Cheers :y:

Tbh buddy, i didn't actually fit the wishbone one's lol. I was lazy and let an old workmate do them. He is a mechanic though so all good.

I fitted the ARB one's a couple of week back though and they were a doddle :) Seriously easy lol.

Liams1 7th August 2010 08:57

car looks fucking amazing, I hope i can have a sax looking as fresh as this.

Cheers pal :)

Fitted my new rear axle from IM Axle's today... No more creaking or anything :D Also took my spare wheel off and left it off. I think it's lifted the back ever so slightly and given it a better stance.

Only problem is now my exhaust isn't where it was and it's annoying me lol. Shall be sorted though :y:

Cheers dude. The front's getting badly stone chipped now :( It's really annoying. Maybe get most of/a complete respray next year! Could do with it tbh.

adam661 9th August 2010 20:55

cars coming alon nicley now mate :) just wondering what size hoses u used for your top rad pipe? as im looking at doing mine soon could u pm the diameter and the deg bends u need if poss :) thanks

CHIP 20th August 2010 18:22

Took the car to my mate today and it passed it's MOT , flew through with no problems :y: Said it's the best kept Saxo he's ever had to MOT, which was nice :)

He also had a look at front suspension for me and said that the ball joint's just dry and it's nothing major. Which is a relief lol.

Fitted my VTR wheels back on today. I've had them powdercoated. Gave them some Lime Prime Lite, CG Wet Mirror Finish and then 2 coats of FK1000P and they look sweet. Verrry shiny.

Only problem now is, as soon as i fitted the wheels on the brake's have started squeeking. Not as you brake but as you drive. If you brake it stops :S Fook knows lol.

^^^^ That's why lol. Wolfrace have to be cleaned every day in weather like this. And all it's fooking doing is raining lately so thought stuff it and put the R rims back on.

Wolfrace could do with a refurb tbf but i need to start saving for a new bike tbh.

Alanapone 20th August 2010 18:49

Weather's a bitch lately. Brilliant summer we've had... Not.

Get her shined up dude. Can't beat Mauritius when it's gleaming :D

just glad we've got the garage, just need to get it sealed up a bit better to stop the leaves and dust getting all over the car!

Wish i could get mine in garage... It's full of motorbikes haha.

CHIP 21st September 2010 22:19

Well... the car's going soon. Decided it's time to move on. So over the next few weeks you'll notice part's going up for sale.

Selling the car with standard interior so the seat's, harnesses, carbon doorcards etc will all be going soon. Wolfrace are already up in the for sale section.

I will be VERY sad to see it go. I've learnt a lot from this car and have enjoyed every last minute of it. It's almost been like a relationship haha. We fall out now and again but then everything goes good again.

All i need to do is get my arse into gear, save all my pennies and change bit's over (interior wise). And take some good picture's of it before it goes.

Me neither Nicole... But can't keep them forever. I proper love the car. It's so nice (imo)... It looks EXACTLY how i wanted it to really... If i ever got another Saxo i'd do it the same again.

172 pal. I know it's the common done thing and people call it the bandwagon... But i've owned 2 Clio's before the Saxo and have always wanted one. So that's that lol.

CarlosVT 21st September 2010 22:41

Good move mate! That's what I want to do when I'm old enough and get rid of the Saxo! I want a Liquid Yellow 172/182 :y:

Make sure you get a new progress thread going when you get the new car! :)

LEE_VTR1 21st September 2010 23:35

I'll still be here dude, don't worry.

I'll whack a progress thread up once i have it but the plans with it will basically be: standard interior, probably standard wheels, lowered, polybushes, decent breathing for it and some silicone hoses and really clean :y:

darrenrosser 21st September 2010 23:43

It will be such a shame to see her go, lets hope she goes to a good home, someone that will look after it as much as you have, this car has inspired me and so have you :)

New car, New canvas Lets hope it will be a sweet as the SAX !

tinytim6666 21st September 2010 23:45

Cheers dude, means a lot :) Yea, i'm hoping it will be as nice as the Sax. Won't be so heavily modded but should hopefully be nice.

I've had the Sax very close to 4 years now. I feel like i've had my fun with it. If i could afford to keep it and get a Clio i would. But i've got a bike to run too - plus my mum and dad wouldn't be happy me having 2 car's and a bike haha.

Fair play fella, if you feel you have had your fun with it then its clearly finished :) only better things can come of it. Tell the new owner to keep her on here as it would be a shame to see her dissapear. You deserve so much credit for what you have done to that car, Nice one fella !

Gary-VTR 28th September 2010 10:21

Any idea what price you'd be after for it as it is now?

Tontsy 28th September 2010 11:30

Id be interested in the seats, harnesses boyo ;)

Upgrading , or imo downgrading the car, and changing from the duke!...
Got balls man! Lol

Haha, it is an upgrade... Leather & alcantara, 2ltr, better built... I've always wanted one, for years. So may aswell now.

rushy_23 28th September 2010 13:05

Chipster, shame to see it go but I guess we all have to move with the times?..

Out of interest, what bike have you got (probably mentioned it somewhere).

Yea dude, had the car 4 years and apart from a 16v conversion and more suspension and brake mod's their isn't a lot else i'd want to do to it.
The car's been awesome, i love it to bit's. But if i don't move on i don't get to experience anything else. Hell, i might end up hating the Clio. But atleast i had the experience. Same with the Saxo, it's been a good experience. I've learnt a hell of a lot from it. But can't keep it forever really.

I've got a Ducati Monster M620 Dark dude. Soon to be up for sale too. Again, that's been one hell of a first bike. So easy to ride :D If it was a 1000cc i wouldn't be selling it but i need/want something a little bit faster.
