Tufty 3rd April 2011 22:39

well done mate, glad all went well :)

Liam_ 3rd April 2011 23:09

Car looked to go well today mate. You had a few flames through hall bends on a couple of occasions too.

Think the only shedders I spoke to were Dan and Ash - didn't manage to bump into you.

LEE_VTR1 4th April 2011 10:12

enjoy it at cadwell yesterday then jp? I'd like to do cadwell but iv heard from loads it's just a really fast track and with me still being a beginner I'm unsure man

JoshB 4th April 2011 10:19

Hope you had a good day out JP, cars looks right at home ;)

Awesome day yesterday, really smashing round on the last session!

Think the engine is perfect for road based track car, not too intrusive on the road and nice bark on track.

LEE_VTR1 4th April 2011 22:21

car looks so good on track man!

and I agree with Olly on that last comment

You should definitely do it mate, as per text id recommend you do a track with plenty of run off first until youve had a decent few track days then do cadwell, as theres minimal run off in certain parts of the track!

Glad you enjoyed it Olly! Not bad for £5 and a mcdonalds haha :D

I was happy with the progress over the day, like you say really had the whole track hooked up by the afternoon. Funniest comment of the day after the mammoth first 50mins session was "that was the quickest installation laps ive ever been on" haha!

Engine should sound even better once i rip the sound deadening out from behind the dash :D

I agree with the engine comments, my need for more power is killing me now though, so may have to go crazy on it this time next year :y:

jp get on the power hike bandwagon man... you imagine how quick our little rockets will be with an extra 40-50-150hp ;)

Even with my engine i was keeping or pulling away from near enough everything there on the day, even the caterhams werent quicker than me down the straights which was suprising. Matts 200bhp 205 was near enough the quickest on the day, even kept up with the ultra lol

I was on the power so early though with my suspension/gearbox set up. Was really pleased with the whole car chassis wise, brakes are great now with the larger servo and MC as well :D

glad the servo feels better, kinda new it would sort it out, and its another job done aint it.

now you have done cadwell, take another look at tams vid with the s/c ax.. imagine if you had that sort of power lol... how MUCH quicker that youd be.

jpsaxo 5th April 2011 18:55

now you have some enthusiasm get ordering those boost bits lol

jpsaxo 5th April 2011 19:07

IF (big if) i get back out to oz and start earning good cash again im pretty sure im going to stay NA, bite the bullet and go for 200+bhp with a full sandy build, should keep me up with near enough everything on nearly all the UK tracks :D

Ryan 5th April 2011 19:11

you dont need to be spending crazy dosh to get decent grunt out of it.

Youve got the pistons, just go for a wilder cam and remap init.

200BHP NA is good but wont keep up with alot if you go on some of the days I have people organising. They have GT3 RS's and CGTs and know how to use them, which is why im not booking up sillystone with them haha

sounds good mate, hope it gets done :)

if and when it happens we'll have to get some trackdays booked up together and show people what these tin cans are made of :D

Olly 5th April 2011 19:15

Haha, missed the sighting laps, never been round before and not trying to hold anyone up, lol.

Engine plans are sweet.

Silverstone is definitely a high power circuit, but tbh if i can get 200+bhp, that will give me 250bhp per ton, theres not that many cars knocking around with that sort of power on your normal run of the mill track day. So should be more than enough for my capabilities as a driver.

Danny - sounds like a plan mate!

Olly - haha, was a cracking day. Cant wait for Donnington!
