He is correct it dry's by a thermal reaction not solvent evaporation so you can seal it now.

Yeah silver is a cunt especially eyc but it looks good so no complaints from my end.

I will crack on tommorow with it then!

Yeah i was expecting to see it lighter or darker shade as you would. It's 11yr old paint nearly so imagine its a chew on for the painters to match but he's done well.

Cheers. :y:

Na not so much the matching its the skill needed to paint it the way it lays it goes darker so you have to match the way it has layed with the same direction as the car.

Prickle 17th August 2013 00:27

Fair doos. God knows how hes done it ha ha.

Prickle 24th August 2013 16:32

Right one sides been done but the other tommorow because i started late.

All in all not bad. Abit over hyped the difficulty of it. :S

Metal coller on the inside was abit of a chew on but the rest went very well. Nothing needed trimming, none of that bullshit! :P

Yes, yes i used a axle stand this time..

Underside is in dire need of a clean i know.

Same tommorow but no point in pics its all the same..

Bedford126 24th August 2013 17:10

Pile of shit, you killed the world with rubber fumes.

Prickle 24th August 2013 17:18

:P

Once that's done the car is fully bushed. Happy days. As firm as you like :homme:

After tracking next Fri it's done for this year.

Next year i'd like 4 pots (cos i can) and maybe a change in alloys. I'm not sure on what. Something that will suit the height it's at now and not common like turini's and the like (boring).

Saxjoe 24th August 2013 17:22

where does everyone get there little saxo signature pictures? it has a front, left and back profile.

Prickle 24th August 2013 17:26

I edited all of mine but it's a pixel car. Search it in google it'll bring them up.

Ok thanks mate :y:

AlexB 25th August 2013 22:40

Told you they werent hard to fit

Prickle 25th August 2013 22:44

:D

I could press the front bush in slightly myself then a hammer encouraged it in (covered the bush).

Rear took a few hits (socket on the coller) and on it popped.

Been out it today and it's great!

Prickle 30th August 2013 15:41

Perfect now. Tracking.

Bodyshop tommorow for a little bit that needs doing and will get the DA on the paint again.

RobVT 30th August 2013 16:22

looks awesome mate

Prickle 30th August 2013 16:33

Cheers Rob. :-)

MartinObviously 30th August 2013 16:53

All that tracking! (toe in or out on the front only) :P

Hope they didn't charge too much.

Prickle 30th August 2013 16:57

Just standard set up suits me.

RobVT 31st August 2013 21:40

btw did the solid rear bushes on the arms actually so anything ? i had polys on the front of the arms on my saxo and didnt really do much if im honest

Prickle 31st August 2013 21:57

Changed my pas front ABS sensor today (orig 11yr old one). All are newish now! So that touch tin never give me anymore ABS light again. LOL.

It does feel abit better (maybe because they're new?). It's firmer and better when braking.. doesnt feel like the lower arms are flexing forward so to speak lol can tell on some bumps aswell.

Maybe thats the rears doing all that i dont know ha ha.

The lower arms that were on are what 7 months old and were worn (more so pas side) so i had a knocking and squeak everytime i was braking and little bumps. That cured that.

Oh and i almost forgot (excuse the pic quality) results of before/after of ^

Before;

Mixed with poor prev tracking in March and last week the lower arms came off. (it didnt drive straight at all. :P

After;

Saxo atm is half way through a machine, spent like 5hrs on it. :homme: Finishing it off tommorow and that will be done for next weekend. Engine next Friday and interior and i'm sorted tbh.
