are your three stud vtr brakes on here? lol

Mikol 19th May 2011 19:19

Somewhere lol. They've since been superseded by the 2 pairs of 266's I've had since though... Don't think I posted them up, or indeed the 3 stud converted VTR suspension.

Slacking, I know. I'll find the pics now

Mikol 19th May 2011 19:27

As promised, 3 stud 266mm brakes. These are my second set now running Lucas calipers with OEM disc retaining screws into countersunk holes in the discs. My original set were BOSCH calipers with no retainers.

You can also see the stud conversion with anodised black wheel nuts (which Is why I questioned Alex's post above, there's a few of us running studs & nuts nowadays)

The eagle-eyed will notice the struts are actually VT* struts, no 3 studs ever came with drop-links. I had to combine some very special 3 stud hubs with the correct bearings to get them to fit in the 4 stud sporty Saxo hub.

Booyah!

A couple more boring things...

Meshed OEM grille - These are already meshed but only a circular cut-out actually lets air in. So I cut out the old stuff and meshed the lot... and had it sprayed gloss black.

And also I wired a permanent USB charger into the ciggy lighter, with a switch next to it

Think that's it, I'll post up if I come across any more.

liking the brakes conversion very original, not seen it done before!
hoping that the extra stud isnt there on the bigger engined cars because they have bigger breaks for strength :y:

Mikol 19th May 2011 21:42

Fuck it, the wheels havn't fallen off yet...

Basley 15th June 2011 02:55
