Jaffaa 16th May 2008 16:10

Thanks Vipes you'll see them soon enough matey ;)

Piper is on and sounds 100x better then the stupid scrap can letterbox that was on there before. May sound petty but 3.5" inwardly rolled doesnt look that big on the car haha! Not changing as i love the way it looks and sounds plus the baffle looking pattern that you can see in the pics (P27) look mint...

Need to adjust the hangers and motorsport mounts to get it sitting a few mm higher and i'll try to clean the dirty bitch up today then get some snaps of everything.

Dammit man lol...just have to wait for my own 4-pots then :p

Good work on the grille haha ;)

Cheers Jaffaa...photobucket does it automatically but i'll drop a few into Photoshop later and have a play :)

Really happy with yesterday's progress!

Drove 450m :fcuk:
Piper is on and looking/sounding much much much better!

New bumper is on after i got it back from Sam (SilverSaxo) at Owlsbury Coachworks. Thanks for all your work again mate...
The colour match was absolutely spot on and i've only had good things to say about everything you've done for me so far.

Really recommend getting anything done with these guys :y:
See you soon for another few jobs ;)

The front end has seen another modification to clean things up...pics after a whoring sesh tommorow.

Spent some of the afternoon adjusting the exhaust system and other things so didnt get round to any whoring.

Cheers Karl :D

More pics.

Base coat on the grille finished...

First layer of Rover Charcoal Metallic top coat...

Second coat after smoothing down between layers with fine grit wet/dry paper...

Still need to add the final few coats to get it absolutely spot on and then il bosh some lacquer on before flattening and polishing the grille off to get it pretty much perfect and add more shine to the finish :)

Had a play measuring up some mesh to see how it looked...

Not bad i think as its still subtle with the mesh in and will keep a lot of shit out of the bay = easier to keep clean :p

Couple of pics of the shitty old back box for comparison...

New shiny Piper :afro:

Spot the difference between the previous pics and these...

...New rear bumper has been colour coded and fitted ;)

Colour match was spot on and the bumper looks great!
Huge improvement especially with the sexual new Piper on i think.

The exhaust is a little quiter now as another plus, with more pops and the system rasps more!!!

Teaser shot of the new buckets :A:

More progress of the grille being finished soon and i've just dug out some old lights which i need to have a play with and then they may be fitted before FCS to tidy up the rear end.

dobsd001 19th May 2008 22:40

Muchos gracias Wallsy.

Thanks for all the comments lads!
The grille has taken over a week so far and i still need to finish it but its getting there, dont wanna rush it and get a gash finish that i wont be happy with.

Hated the old 'channel tunnel' size backbox with a passion lol.

Going to heat-wrap the system de-cat - back tonight if i get time :)

Haha thankyou mate!!!

Now on my 3rd set of seats in less than a year!
Really wanted buckets for the next few months at least with FCS, Ring trip, Trax and a few other events coming up as i missed my old racing buckets.
These are a lot more comfortable and practical plus i felt like a bit of a change from the GTI leather so i decided (eventually) to sadly let them go.

Spoke to DavidKent who was thinking of letting his go and managed to bag them :D Thanks again mate, top guy too :y:

Might get the cushions on these buckets re-trimmed and spray the frames a different colour when the cage comes in but not sure yet.

Graeme 20th May 2008 13:06

i willgive you my thoughts when i see the buckets at FCS lol

new exhust looks spot on and miles better than that thing you had on before :P
