Did you use the standard plug or pummel holes in the car door and shell? piccys would be great!
Cheers

i used the standard plug. i wasnt messing about i just took the door off it made it lots easier. the plug is made of 2 parts and both need drilling iirc i dont have any pics im afraid. there was alot of swearing but in the end it happend.

yeah especially at the price i got them at, retail puts them at 2k excluding the top mounts. i paid a damn sight less.

as said here are a few pics.

front strut

rear damper

top mounts

clutch

lightweight crank pulley

seats

im going to be making some custom sub frames for the seats to mount them low enough so i can get in with a helmet on.

the LEDAs have just been serviced too so are in perfect working order. they are going to get a lick of paint before they are fitted.

lukedavies1989 20th September 2009 11:08

gorgeous colour not to keen on the seats tho soz!

webby 20th September 2009 17:24

they are not my favs' but i still like them they are there to serve a purpose though do a better job of holding me in than standards.

and tbh function is following form now but im not forgetting it.

Phsyco_Paff 20th September 2009 18:01

nah the guy i got them off had just upgraded to ohlins stuff during the off season so just wanted rid. he had them fitted with 325lb front springs and 23mm rear bars, he wanted to keep them bits though.

i have had a change of plan too and tbh its your car that has given me the kick up the arse to do it properly.

so this is going to remain as is with a few little tweaks nothing major and im selling my civic and buy a vts to compete with. :y:

well t-minus 6 days before its off the road and i cant wait.

im sick of the bastard tbh!
its has become nearly undrivable with a clutch right on its last legs and a icv playing up coupled to a few other bits. im fairly sure the head gasket has started leaking too.

im taking it up to wayne to get it thrown on the rollers just for a figure before its winter going over and then i'll go after winter for comparision.

keep an eye out for a spec list which should be getting typed up later but a few things will be changing.

raunchz 24th November 2009 19:23

sounds like you'll need to go stiffer to match the leda dampers? maybe 250lb+?

good thing about these ross they are adjustable gas struts so i can pretty much run anything from 150lb to full blown tarmac race 400lb+.

im still undecided on what rate tbh. because i cant afford torsion bars atm.
so might stay on the softer side because springs are only £50 a pair. 2.5" i.d springs are pretty common.

Sounds a great set of dampers!! 2.5" springs are cheap from rallyedesign and DT and Faulkner so is a good plan !! Will be cool to hear how these handle !!

saxo_ron 24th November 2009 19:44
