its 35 mm springs and adjusted to match at the back though looks more like 40mm in the flesh tbh

jonesy9 16th October 2009 16:57

40mm rear and im pretty sure those springs sit at 40 :)

pretty easy mate, i would suggest getting your car on ramps or over a pit to do it though, just makes it easier. it comes with fitting instructions, but you just prise the gear rod arrowed on the pictures, put the component, tighten it up then re-fit the rod. well worth the £24 delivered :) very good mod for the money :y:

what do people think to getting a dimma grill/ replica job off ebay? or deslatting and meshing the 1 i have??

and also widemouth bumper? which would look better;
1.carbon insert?
2.smoothed and painted silver with black mesh?
3.smoothed and gloss black?

jonesy9 31st October 2009 16:56

decided i want to go lower now, so got some springs on there way and should be here tuesday/wednesday and then off to have the tortion bar done again :) 60mm :y:

that was at rednal mate, and it's only that price when they are spraying something else the same colour, otherwise its silly money if you have it done by itself, because i was told it costs £45 to set-up.

cookie-vts 7th November 2009 19:08

thanks mate, it sits alot better at the front now its down 50mm on spax springs :)
i think the avo's were pretty good, but quite bouncy compared to the spax, ride was alot softer than now but 35 is a good comprimise.
handling wise its a big improvement from standard but again i feel these 50mm springs have yet again improved :)

pics to follow :)

jonesy9 12th November 2009 13:18

pic of the springs, they are spax 50mm, bought from AndyK, still had the spax on the spring but were really rough, so had them powdercoated yellow :)

first job was to get the strut off :)

and a while after we got the springs compressed and on

and the finished article :)

miamibluebaby 12th November 2009 13:20

looking well :)

Andy_K 12th November 2009 13:32

Springs look 10000 times better now mate. Glad you're happy. Car looks much better at that height as well imo :y:
