is it completely standard? I'd keep it that way to be honest you'll find it much easier to sell (and even though it will have been) It will looked like it hasn't been ragged ;)

yeh completely standard ;) want it 1200? lol

I have just bought my first car four days ago being a saxo vtr :P and i love the hell outta it.
I have about £1000 to do it up in january, was just hoping for some suggestions on how to modify a saxo without it looking chavvy, i want to get it lowered and a couple of other mods but not sure on what mods to do.
help haha.

1. Don't stick Lexus lights on it.
2. Don't stick ripspeed alloys on it.
3. Don't stick the biggest/loudest exhaust on it.
4. Don't put colorful flashing lights in/on it.

dont keep it standard. the ride height for standard saxo's are cringing

joey_harrison 2nd January 2010 13:08

ha, so general views are no lexus lights, no stupid exhaust where people can hear you in enough time to get ready before getting picked up lol and no ripspeed crap, why is ripspeed hated then?

hells yeh mate, definately getting it lowered :) but gotta fix the head gasket first (if it is that) :(

LSOfreak 2nd January 2010 19:18

ripspeed is like halfords own brand and halfords generally come up with some laughable products to stick on your car. ye so in general , no chrome/bling , keep the colours subtle, keep things looking smart. nothing wrong with how loud the exhaust is tbh. i love a loud one. jusst try not to make it look out of place

I have two things on Chav car list :p

Azza-VTR 2nd January 2010 20:35

Whats wrong with Lexus - I recon Black Lexus look nice but Chrome is a no go :n:

I much prefer subtle mods to ott stuff. On my car I've changed the wheels to gloss black vtr ones, changed the side repeaters to crystal black ones, and changed the rear lights to crystal smoked. Got a different exhaust but nothing particularly loud. Not lowered it yet, have been thinking about it but will be selling it in may so might leave it.

to be fair i do like them, but they aren't really generic lexus lights, much more subtle and better looking, think they are almost nearer to being jewels :)

What lights do you recommend? Do you reckon maybe just smoke the standard ones?

Oh yeh i added a quick pic of my car :D will go out for a proper shoot soon.
