Jimbo 6th June 2006 01:56

Don't actually know. I brought them off an ebay shop for £160

mish_VTR 6th June 2006 03:02

looks good mate

Jimbo 4th July 2006 18:26

Okay, so i havn't up-dated in a while.

Got really annoyed with the *cough* Vts badges! *cough* So they have been removed.

Standard ariel has been chopped down, and put on.

De-wipered the rear.

Colour coded the rocker cover.

Got a nice piper 4" slash cut on. Sounds gorgeous.

Comments Welcome of course.

More planned. Stay tuned ;)

Baz 4th July 2006 18:30

looks good mate, think you cut the arial abit too small though :P 206 ariel would look better IMO or no ariel at all...;)

Graeme 4th July 2006 18:32

looks nice matey!!

what else you got planed??

Jimbo 4th July 2006 18:33

Nah, 206 ariels have a wobbly section in the middle. I don't like it.

Craig 4th July 2006 18:33

I can get a leather GTI interior for £250, so i might get one of those.

going to go down to 50 on the front, rather than 40.

No doubt other things, but i don't know yet. Might get the wheels done anth.

Luke 4th July 2006 18:36

Took it off, Used paintstripper on it.

Sanded it, primed it, painted it (lots of coats) Then lots of thin coats of laquore, followed by a thick one to give it the shine.

Heat proof paint isn't necessary, i did that with normal paint, and it's been fine for a month.

ChrisJ 4th July 2006 18:45

*runs to halfrauds to get some blue paint*

How did you get your manifold cover so shiny? Looks ace.

I think i need to adjust my piper, as mine sits a little lower than yours, and yours looks spot on.

ets2k9 4th July 2006 18:54

Very nice.

Craig 4th July 2006 18:59

is it a big job to tkae rocker cover off ? like the gasket seals etc?

Jimbo 4th July 2006 19:03

Unbolt the 2 botls, and pull it off. lol

The rubber seal you see at the front, is the gasket!

Did you use the rubbers that came with it?

I just snapped my standard clamp, then put the new box on. Literally took 15 minutes.

Sean 4th July 2006 19:11

quite like that mate, undecided on the wheels, think you need black vtr rims;) tidy wee car though :)

Jimbo 4th July 2006 19:15

Cheers Sean.

Not sureon wheels. Were the only non-standard thing on the car when i brought it.

I wanted some Euro rims like Ads Vts, but i just can be doing with spending ALOT of dosh on Wheels.

saxoboy2005 4th July 2006 19:32

nice car! but whats with the induction kit? dont you have to take the standered air box of then attach the filter? didnt know you could leave both on!

Jimbo 4th July 2006 19:51

the standard Element isn't still in there lol!

I need the standard pipe from the airbox to thefeed pipe. Want it all back to standard.
