quick update

hopefully get the welder from my mum and dads this weekend so i can get the engine bay sorted as all the rust has been cut and ground off and just waiting to be welded then its ready for painting . will get pics up at the weekend .

UPDATE

right managed to get set about the rallye with the welder today , quite pleased with how its turned out just gotta sand the filler down i put around the welds i used to get it as smooth as possible for when its painted .

new plans

right ive managed to source a low mileage TU5JP4 engine with low miles for a bargain price , so ive sold the J4 engine and im gonna be picking up the JP4 on thrusday so will post pics up then , its gotta be converted to run the 16v inlet and oil filter etc but its still well worth the money ... and extra power ;)

looks really nice mate lol it was a ball ache push that out your garage that day in the snow to fix my beast lol:P

UPDATE

set about the jp4 engine today removing most of the parts that arnt needed so that i can start to prepare to j4 form , found a really helpful guide on the site for when converting a jp4 engine too :)

i may have also landed on a nice set of jenveys but thats not 100% yet ;)





will post more pics of the engine bay shortly .

Also managed to get the engne bay undersealed up today ( il admit i did go abit OTT ! ) but it looks ok and shouldnt have any rust problems ever again lol . Its ready for paint once the underseal drys anyways so then i can get started on the inside of the car and the wheel arches .

i know what you mean mate , i got wayyyyy to carried away lol , but TBH im not focusing on looks as much as the performance / handling aspect of the car , after all its only gonna be tanked around tracks

shouldnt be too long mate , still gotta save up for the throttle bodies :( should be worth it though , i was gonna get some jenveys 2nd hand , but ive decided to go for AT power bodies as its gonna be easier and possibly cheaper in the long run with the spec im now planning :)

i know yeh ill bring it round 1 nite this week wen i finnsh work how much you plannin on payin for them jenveys ?

yeah just pop it round , im pretty sure i wont be getting the jenveys now like but hopefully AT power bodies depending on how my funds cope

sound do i need a idel control valve or does tht engine have 1 ? i need a top rad pipe aswell dont i ? me heads gettin skimed next weekend so ill have to come up get a head kit off you an all?
