|
cheers mate im well happy with it

i got these picked up for me today they are 14" golf mk3 steels and they are the same as g60's just an inch smaller. im thinking of gettin them banded another 1" or maybe 2" on the rears but im not paying bandedsteels.com £345 to do it :P ive nee quoted £240 from a guy off ebay who is based in liverpool but im hoping to find a company a bit more local.
anyway the wheels ![]() ![]() ![]() need to get them balloon tyres off so i can trial fit them and just a pic for good measure taken earlier today ![]() |
right guys decided i was going to tint my headlights and thought while I'm at it might aswell put a little guide together.
Tools; scalpel old card bank, credit or casino in my case spary bottle(water and a little washing up liquid) missus' hairdryer or a heat gun and rag/towel not the manliest set of tools ever but hey ho ![]() first cut your film to the general size of the light next you want to spray the lights and wipe all the dirt of ensuring that the surface is clean. now for the hard bit take the backing sheet of the film(trust me its a b stard) give the light a good spray and spray the sticky bit of the film. place the film onto the headlight. now using the hairdryer/heat gun use your card to move all the moisture from underneath the film, starting for the middle working your way to the edges. now it should look like this ![]() no bubbles or creases is how you want it. now carefully trim your film to the headlight it will fold over the straight edges but will be trickier on the curves but you'll work it out. so it should now look like this no bubbles or creases and neatly fitted to the headlight ![]() ![]() repeat the above for the other side and i would recommend to leave it to dry properly for about an hour before driving. final results ![]() ![]() thanks for looking Dan |
Or go and buy some tint from Lamin-x, if it is that nvm. :p
Looks good! :D |
Slam it!
with fat tyres, will be epic imo. |
its not lamin x but that would be fitted the same way. i get my tint film of ebay and its about quarter of the price of lamin x
|
i think some rectangular tinted fogs would complete the front end :) love retro dubs :D :luff:
p.s. Love the roof rack! |
Really like it! You gonna find something to put on the roof rack?
|
I'm a big fan! :y: I think some old school suitcases/ trunks on the rack would suit it :y:

as for the roof rack i think a big suitcase would look quite funky. but the only practical use it will get is a tent and some crates of beverages. good idea on roof rack donations haha cheers for all the good feedback guys meens a lot Dan |
I really like this. love the little boot spoiler. xD
|
Definetly an old brown leather suitcase for the roof rack. Should set your tent up on it, don't think it will stay on if your driving though :n:
|
