thought about painting the cage gloss black if your getting rid of all the chrome?

I've thought about it but tbh i like the cage in chrome shows it off abit... I know it's only a show cage and they have haters, but it's become part of the car for me so it's staying.

As another small update, i've just fitted a smaller aerial, an oem looking aerial though. Nothing chavvy but looks really good. I'll get picture's when i can be arsed lol.

Nah dude. I don't want bungs in my roof :S The only way i'd get rid of the aerial is by having the roof smoothed. A random grommit isn't really my thang lol :)

Means alot of you dude, always loved you're car :)

Fair play. each to their own i guess. Just cost a lot more to smooth so guess it depends on funds and priority for ya

Bit of a lousy update due to lack of pics but then not too easy to show you the quickshift fitted. It's on though :)

Wayne 1st January 2010 11:03

Seats look awesome CHIP:y: looks nice your car does:)

AlexB 1st January 2010 12:05

it would be easy to get pics of a proper quickshift *cough*b&m*cough*

Azza-VTR 1st January 2010 12:33

I'm liking the Blue and gloss black combo - very nice motor you have there Chip
I used to have one of them quickshifts in my old 106 - made a good difference for not a lot of money and pretty easy to install aslong as the joints arn't siezed on the linkages :p

Hope to see this at one of the meets :y:

Oi, less fellow Maritius brother haha. I would have gone for a b&m but i didnt have the money and also this way i don't have to remove the plastics... Which is what i wanted really incase i one day decide to have leather or similar.

Yeah i wanna know if theres any difference too.. cause i was looking at one of these too.

Also agree'd some sweet looking seats matey

Azza-VTR 1st January 2010 15:15

Guys I had this quickshift on my 106 and there is a definate difference but you've gotta be more careful with it when chaging gears because the throw is atleast 40 - 50% less than before :)

I'd agree with that tbf. Only driven it once so far but it seems good but is going to take a little getting used to.

Azza, i live round the corner from the Ling Forest pub!
