Also ive just noticed that part of the back cover for the timing gear/cambelt is damaged somehow-shit!

Any ideas to fix that appreciated, obviously i cant replace with a new part due to its location.

Pics of the damage in question?

Spanking engine fella ;)

Big one!

Sunday 18th Nov

Managed to get loads done this afternoon, my main aim was to start piecing together the jigsaw again to work out exactly what i have and havnt got. Alot of the parts arent fully torqued up and attached yet but its the biggest idea yet of how things are going :)

Today i was joined by Simon, Bensilversaxo and Rich (Skorpion)

First thing that was tackled was the air intake box, there was plenty of bits to change here, some seals from the head gasket kit and i wanted to replace all the bolts.

New seals

New and old

On it goes

New water outlet tank

Looking good. decided to do the 16v part in the same yellow as the car rather than a grubby white/silver colour

Port and polished throttle body attached

I started to reassemble the alternator. The brackets were easy to sort out with the exploded citroen diagram. Ill be buying a new alternator at the end of the month

Backing bracket applied

Reassembling of the oil filter & surrounding bits

Filter on

Couldnt resist trial fitting the BTB 4-1 manifold :)

Thermostat housing reconstructed with new parts. 82degree thermostat from a 1991 1.0 pug 205 instead of the usual 89degree vts one :y:

Quickie of the Cams

Think ill quite like the effect of the polished rocker covers when theyre finished. Carbon coil pack cover looks ace and i think the badge finishes it off nicely
