Right folks. Interesting note here. As a couple of folk on here already know i travelled hours today all the way to Orpington, London to fetch SaxoMark's Mk1 Mauritius VTR. My ex, who happens to still be a very good friend has bought it and it's basically a small project. The body's lovely on it. Better than mine infact. And the car overall feel's alot smoother to drive than mine. But it will need a new clutch soon by the feel of it and the twin VTS fan setup need's some sorting out. The heater's are also bollock's haha. So that will need sorting.

Other than that, it's a nice car and drove back from London fine :y:

The VTR number plate is getting transfered on to my car as Toyah has her own private plate too :)

I'll let some pic's do the talking :y:

I'm shocked tbh that a Mk1 Sax has such clean bodywork dude.

SaxoIOW 22nd January 2010 12:47

The sparco buckets and omp harnesses look amazing:y: I got borde of my gti leathers so have started stipping mine aswell but i dont know wether to get fixed buckets or reclining ones? As i use the car alot i dont want to get fixed ones and find they are impractical for every day use

CHIP 22nd January 2010 22:35

Tbh dude, i use my car everyday and i get on fine with the bucket's. And so do afew of my friends :)

SaxoIOW 22nd January 2010 22:37

Thats all i need to know then! On the look out now for some monaco S's or similar, bring on the track :p How much did you pay all togeather for seats, sub frames and harnesses?

Roughly £600 all in pal.

If you go for the same method as i have you also need to do the custom bracket. Think i did a paint picture few page's back to show how it work's.

Make sure you do some research into what seat's people tend to find comfy. I went for the Sprint's as my mate has them in his GTI and i've spent a fair few hour's in them so had first hand experience with them and knew i liked them :y:

SaxoIOW 22nd January 2010 22:45

Ive sat in my mates (IWlaurence) monaco S's and they seemed really good, can pick them up second hand quite easily aswell. I really like your sparcos but dont know if i can justify 600 all togeather when i only fitted the gti leather not long ago lol:wacko:

Alot changed since that pic mate lol. But basically, photoshop, duplicate layer, make black and white and then use the rubber to make the bit's you want in colour :y:

lil_rascal 28th January 2010 23:04

Nice car

CHIP 28th January 2010 23:06

Might aswell add... i've also decided i want a blue Rallye carpet and smoked fogs.

Don't want to do the fog's myself though, so if anyone has any they want rid of drop me a pm.
