Sorry to bump this thread for the millionth time, but how do you test all the LEDs are working without connecting the dials back into the car?
|
I think the easiest way is to test in the car. That's how I'm doing it all the time. Alternative to the car you need a power supply with 13,8V and ground and the pin assignment of the speedo. I would recommend the car! :) Maybe someone had an idea which could help me as well.

No. You need PLCC-2 package not 1206.

Just spent the afternoon doing this to my 1.1 clocks (1.6 8v fitted)! It's a great guide and I had no trouble completing the work with very little soldering experience. ..... Found out at the same time why my clocks were cutting out every now and again, all the joints on the main connectors had cracked solder joints, so I fixed this too!
Got 30 PLCC-2 800 mcd blues, solder and a new iron tip (0.5mm pointed) all for less than £10 ... only got 2 PLCC-2's left but I did break one! Thanks for posting this up :y: |
Hello stevenet15 hoping you can help me out here. I have the clocks in the picture below that need to be replaced due to fuel one being faulty.
DO you know what phase or mk they are as finding it hard to locate a unit. ![]() |
