I finally got around to claying the car which i was looking forward to but i had never clayed a car before and neither had the car been clayed so it was new too both of us, so take one dirty(ish) car:

add some sudds:

an it gives you this:

i then started claying the passenger side:

was really suprised as the paint was nice an smooth but i cant belive the difference

end product after a wax(not amazing pics but still get the idea):

Looks nice fella, one thing though... did you wash the car before claying it or just wet it?

Claying makes one heck of a difference to he feel of the paint but will work much better if the cars been washed first so its only having to remove the bonded contaminants :)
Good to see you waxed after claying though, polishing is better after a clay session cause it will remove any marring caused by the clay but nice work :y:

cheers everybody :) ye i did wash it mate if you look at the 3rd pic down you can see the soap on the bonnet.

i washed it, dried it, clay'd it and wax'd it was going to polish then wax but i was nackered after doing everything before hand haha

vtcarl 8th September 2011 07:14

If you do go down the vts route make sure you get a good single plug vts engine. And make sure it's got decent miles on it and not space mileage.
