one question? does it make your oven stink as its a fairly new oven :homme: i.e 1 month old

Use a hairdryer mate thats awhat i did, takes 10 minutes but just leave the dryer heating the lens and its all good. I feel a bit gay cooking my headlights and they may melt lol

SunderZ 5th January 2007 20:14

they look pretty good with them on but not too keen when not...it;s 6 of one and half a dozzen of the other

hansthebear 8th January 2007 02:20

cant belive u painted the reflective part :D

classic

SAM33R 8th January 2007 10:07

painting the reflective parts around the bulb is illegal, purpose is it acts as a lens to focus and direct the light on to the road

now when they MOT it, it will fail, sorry to say mate

well good write up though :y:

sam

Your light might be ok for the police as they are displayng the correct colour but come Mot time your car will fail as it will have no beam pattern.

Whats happened to the refective dome off the headlight?

ahhhhh what about my pizza?!

good write up bud!

cdyson4 16th May 2007 00:27

so is this not the right way to do this

Morgan_VTR 22nd June 2007 22:04

Right. What parts of the light can be colour coded? The whole of the part in the red circle? The parts between the red cirlde and the green cirlces? Will this make it road legal?

Im presuming that the blue circled one shouldnt be touched as its a reflective thingy.

Im just wondering as my dad says I should only spray black the parts between the red and green circles, and inside the green its reflective aswell (on standards)

Sorry for the cofusion!

Clarification would be appreciated :A:

You got it perfectly Morgeh. The reflective surface behind the bulb is legally required. Every headlight in the u.k. that is used on public roads MUST have them. The dome that goes in front of the bulb is known as a light mask and normall attached the the reflector. I don't think this is a legal requirement though because not all aftermarket headlights have them e.g. morettes dont
